    • Tanner Bibee fans seven, allows two earned vs. KC
Tanner Bibee allowed three runs — two of them earned — while firing five innings in a no-decision against the Royals on Thursday.

Advice: Bibee struck out seven against one free pass, and he allowed six hits. The 25-year-old allowed a run in the first on a double to Vinnie Pasquantino, but he settle down nicely before being charged for a pair in the sixth without recording an out. Bibee has been a slight fantasy disappointment in 2024, but there’s still reason for optimism in both the short and long-term. He’s set to square off with the Reds in Cincinnati on Wednesday. • Kyle Bradish won’t make scheduled start on Friday
Orioles manager Brandon Hyde said that the entire rotation for the upcoming series against the Rays is “TBD,” meaning Kyle Bradish will have his start pushed back.

Advice: Hyde was quick to say that “there are no health concerns for Kyle Bradish,” but the decision was “just about giving him extra rest.” The right-hander was hit hard in his last start against the Rays last week but has a strong 3.18 ERA in 28 1/3 innings since coming back from an elbow injury. There is no word yet on when Bradish will pitch, but if the Orioles decide to have him skip the entire series then he would face the Braves next week. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:13 am
    • No health concerns, but start TBD
Orioles manager Brandon Hyde said Thursday that the decision to push Bradish's next start back isn't related to health concerns, Matt Weyrich of The Baltimore Sun reports.

Advice: Cade Povich was called up from Triple-A Norfolk to start Thursday versus the Blue Jays in what would have been Bradish's turn, but the move was designed simply to give Bradish extra rest. Hyde wasn't ready to commit to when Bradish would make his next start, however, as the Orioles haven't confirmed any of their four starters for their upcoming series with the Rays that begins Friday. Bradish could take the ball one of those days, but having his turn skipped entirely is also a possibility. The right-hander has been excellent overall since coming off the injured list in early May, but he stumbled his last time out, allowing five runs over just 2.2 innings in a no-decision against the Rays last Saturday. • Provides winning hit
Steer went 1-for-5 with a home run and two RBI in Wednesday's 12-7 win over the Rockies.

Advice: Steer's two-run shot in the top of the ninth plated the tying and go-ahead runs for the Reds, who swept the Rockies in Colorado for the first time since 2012. He's cranked it up to start the new month with hits in five straight games, going 11-for-23 with a home run, two doubles and five RBI. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 6:19 am

    • Enjoys big game in victory
Heim went 3-for-5 with a home run, a double, two total runs and two total RBI in a 9-1 win against Detroit on Wednesday.

Advice: Heim's biggest contribution was a two-run shot to right field in the third inning that gave Texas a 4-0 lead. The backstop added a double and a single to finish with just his second three-hit performance of the season. Heim's pace has slowed a bit after he tallied a career-best 18 homers and 95 RBI last year, but he's still giving solid production from the catcher position with a .251/.296/.372 slash line, six homers, 31 RBI, 22 runs and a stolen base through 199 plate appearances. • Plates two Wednesday
Paredes went 2-for-4 with two RBI doubles and a run during Wednesday's 5-3 win over the Marlins.

Advice: Paredes did his damage early, tagging Braxton Garrett for RBI doubles in the first and third innings. With the pair of doubles, Paredes extended his hit streak to seven games. During that stretch, Paredes is batting .310 with eight RBI and five runs scored. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 10:02 pm

    • Perfect for save No. 8
Fairbanks picked up the save Wednesday against Miami, striking out one over a perfect inning.

Advice: Fairbanks tossed a perfect inning for the second consecutive night and extended his streak of appearances without an earned run to 12. He's allowed just seven hits and two walks during that stretch with 11 punchouts. Despite a nearly three-week IL stint, Fairbanks has eight saves in nine attempts and owns a 3.32 ERA overall. • Goes four innings in return
Eflin didn't factor into the decision Wednesday against the Marlins, allowing two runs on three hits and no walks across four innings. He struck out three.

Advice: Eflin was activated from the 15-day IL for Wednesday's start and was yanked after 55 pitches. He was expected to be under a pitch count after being stretched out to only 40 pitches during his recovery from a back injury. The 30-year-old had to shake off a little rust, allowing all three hits and both runs in the first inning before retiring nine straight batters to close out the start. While Eflin will likely remain limited for the next few starts, he's worth a look in his next projected start, which is scheduled for Tuesday against the Cubs. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 9:41 pm

    • Jonah Heim goes yard in win over Tigers
Jonah Heim went 3-for-5 with a home run, two runs scored, and two RBI against the Tigers on Wednesday.

Advice: Heim knocked a base hit to lead off the second, then took Mason Englert deep for a two-run homer in the third. He later led off the sixth with a double and scored on a fielding error. The 28-year-old backstop is slashing .251/.296/.372 with six homers and 31 RBI across 213 plate appearances. Rotoworld Wednesday, 7:59 pm
