    • Not starting Saturday
Andujar is not in the starting lineup for Saturday's game against the Blue Jays.

Advice: Saturday marks Andujar's first day off since May 25 against the Astros. Andujar was off to a hot start at the plate since returning from the injured list May 24, but the 29-year-old has failed to reach base over his last three games, going 0-for-11 with four strikeouts. With Toronto sending right-hander Kevin Gausman to the mound Saturday, Oakland will start Daz Cameron and Seth Brown in left and right field, respectively. Rotowire.com 43 minutes ago

    • Miguel Andujar not in lineup Saturday vs. Blue Jays
Miguel Andujar is not in the lineup for Saturday’s game against the Blue Jays.

Advice: Andujar takes a seat for the first time since May 25 after going 1-for-20 over his last five games since a four-hit explosion back on June 1. It’ll be Daz Cameron drawing a start in left field on Saturday afternoon in his place. Rotoworld Today, 10:04 am

    • Swats pair of doubles Friday
France went 2-for-3 with an RBI ground-rule double, another two-bagger, a walk, a hit-by-pitch and a run in a loss to the Royals on Friday.

Advice: France made up for missing out on the Mariners' first-inning fun by lacing a ground-rule double in the fourth to plate J.P. Crawford and extend Seattle's lead to 8-0 at the time. The 29-year-old has dialed in his stroke since the latter part of May and is swinging with more authority, generating a .304 average and .950 OPS over the last 14 contests with six extra-base hits (four doubles, two home runs) and 10 RBI during that span. • Ranger Suárez starting London Series opener
Ranger Suárez (thumb) will start Saturday’s London Series opener against the Mets.

Advice: As expected, Suárez will take the ball across the pond against the division-rival Mets after making it through a couple throwing sessions this week without any issues. The 28-year-old southpaw suffered a left thumb contusion last weekend when he was hit by a comebacker. The 28-year-old southpaw has been phenomenal this season, posting a major league-leading 1.70 ERA, 0.80 WHIP and 79/16 K/BB ratio across 74 innings (12 starts). Rotoworld Today, 7:39 am
    • Stuck with loss in quality start
Steele (0-3) took the loss Friday, giving up three runs on five hits and a walk over seven innings as the Cubs were downed 3-2 by the Reds. He struck out seven.

Advice: The southpaw pitched well in his second quality start of the season, generating 30 called or swinging strikes among his 90 pitches, but a lack of run support kept him out of the win column once again. Steele appears to be rounding into form after missing all of April with a hamstring strain, and over his last three starts he sports a 1.89 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 20:6 K:BB through 19 innings. He'll look for that first victory of 2024 in his next outing, which is scheduled to come on the road next week in Tampa Bay. Rotowire.com Today, 6:17 am

    • Fans six in sixth win
Irvin (6-2) picked up the win Friday in a 6-3 victory over the Rays, giving up three runs (two earned) on eight hits over 5.2 innings. He struck out six without walking a battter.

Advice: Three straight singles in the sixth inning kept Irvin from recording his fifth quality start of the season, but the southpaw did tie his season high in strikeouts. He hasn't allowed more than three earned runs in any of his last 10 appearances (eight starts) dating back to April 15, posting a 1.88 ERA, 1.04 WHIP and 36:7 K:BB through 52.2 innings over that stretch. Irvin will look to continue his breakout campaign in his next outing, which lines up to come at home next week against Atlanta. Rotowire.com Today, 5:39 am

    • Stays hot in win
Ramos went 3-for-5 with one RBI in Friday's 5-2 win over the Rangers.

Advice: Ramos logged multiple hits for the fourth time in the last five games. This was also his this time leading off in that span, and the first time he's been atop the order against a right-handed pitcher (Michael Lorenzen). Ramos is slashing .320/.416/.515 with five home runs, 20 RBI, 12 runs scored and one stolen base over 27 contests. As long as he's swinging a hot bat, it makes sense to have him at leadoff, especially since he's displayed improved plate discipline with a 13.2 percent walk rate this year. • Yordan Alvarez knocks in three in Astros’ win
Yordan Alvarez went 2-for-4 with a three-run double and a walk versus the Angels in Friday’s win.

Advice: Alvarez is 10-for-23 with three homers and nine RBI in six games this month, raising his OPS from .792 to .851. It’d be a big surprise if he’s not one of the AL’s best hitters the rest of the way. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:06 pm

    • Picks up win
Scott (5-4) struck out two batters over 1.2 perfect frames and earned a win over the Guardians on Friday.

Advice: Scott entered a tie game in the eighth inning and forced a double play to escape the first-and-third jam he inherited. He then struck out two in the ninth inning before Miami walked it off in the bottom of the frame. After some early season struggles, Scott has now gone 18 straight innings without allowing an earned run. His season ERA has fallen to 1.40 with a 27:19 K:BB through 25.2 innings.
