• Sanchez allows two runs in loss to Pirates
Christopher Sanchez allowed two runs in 5 2/3 innings and took the loss against the Pirates on Saturday.

Advice: Sanchez gave up eight hits, walked none and struck out two. Sanchez hasn’t been the dominant pitcher we saw in May and June, but he pitched well enough to win as he allowed only two runs for the second straight start. His ERA is 2.97 on the season. The 27-year-old left-hander is set to face the Guardians at home next weekend.

  • On-field activities intensifying
Tucker (lower leg) participated in "intense defensive drills" Saturday, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Tucker resumed baseball activities this week that have progressed from light to intense. Saturday's update indicates that Tucker could be ready for a rehab assignment in the near future, an expected step in his recovery considering he's been shelved since early June. • Kyle Tucker does “intense defensive drills”
Astros’ skipper Joe Espada told reporters that Kyle Tucker was able to do “intense defensive drills” on Saturday.

Advice: The 27-year-old superstar outfielder had been doing light on-field activities earlier in the week, so it sounds like this was at least a step up from there. There’s still no word on when he’ll be able to start hitting again — or how long he’ll need before he’s able to return to the Astros’ lineup. Any step in the right direction is considered progress though, so we’ll take what we can get at this stage. Rotoworld Today, 4:52 pm

  • Nabs 19th steal
Lindor went 1-for-3 with two walks, a run scored and a stolen base in Friday's loss to the Marlins.

Advice: The shortstop has drawn two walks in four straight games as he continues to thrive at the top of the order for the Mets. Since the beginning of June, Lindor is slashing .290/.383/.529 with eight of his 17 homers and 11 of his 19 steals on the season as he closes in on the fourth 20-20 campaign of his career. • Swipes 19th bag
Chisholm went 2-for-5 with a run scored and a stolen base in Friday's win over the Mets.

Advice: With trade rumors swirling around him, Chisholm has been having a little trouble staying focused at the plate. The 26-year-old has a .185/.290/.296 slash line through 13 games in July with two homers, three RBI and six runs, but he's kept his fantasy value afloat by adding five steals, giving him 19 on the season -- just four short of the career-high 23 he pilfered in 2021. • Sitting down Saturday
Bader isn't in the Mets' lineup for Saturday's game against the Marlins.

Advice: Bader was held hitless in four at-bats during the Mets' first game back from the All-Star break, and he'll now take a seat Saturday against Roddery Munoz. Jeff McNeil, Brandon Nimmo and DJ Stewart will start from left to right in New York's outfield. Rotowire.com Today, 9:29 am

  • Blanks Friars for eighth win
Bibee (8-4) picked up the win Friday, scattering two hits and three walks over 5.2 innings in a 7-0 victory over the Padres. He struck out three.

Advice: San Diego didn't get a runner past second base against Bibee, who got the hook after 102 pitches (67 strikes) just short of his eighth quality start of the season. While this was an encouraging outing after the right-hander gave up eight runs in 11.2 innings over his last two starts before the All-Star break, Bibee has issued multiple walks in three straight trips to the mound, something he hadn't done since April. He'll take a 3.58 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 126:30 K:BB through 110.2 innings into his next start, which is scheduled to come at home next week against the Tigers. Rotowire.com Today, 7:32 am
  • RBI, steal in win
India went 1-for-4 with a stolen base and an RBI in Friday's 8-5 loss to Washington.

Advice: India singled in the Reds' first run then stole a bag in the third inning. The steal was his ninth of the season. India once again batted atop the order, as normal leadoff hitter TJ Friedl (hamstring) remains on the injured list. Friedl could return next week. Eventually, when second baseman Matt McLain (shoulder) is ready to return, Cincinnati manager David Bell will likely need to find a home for India's bat. Rotowire.com Today, 5:09 am

  • Knocks in two
Walker went 1-for-3 with two RBI in Friday's 5-2 win over the Cubs.

Advice: Walker brought home the eventual winning run with a two-run single in the third inning. The two RBI gave him a team-high 68 over 98 games. Walker is locked in as the Diamondbacks' cleanup hitter and gets plenty of RBI opportunities; he has a .915 OPS with runners in scoring position. Rotowire.com Today, 4:41 am
