    • Duran picks up ninth save Thursday
Jhoan Duran allowed two runs (none earned) and picked up the save against the Royals on Thursday.

Advice: The save was Duran’s ninth of the year. A missed catch error on first baseman Carlos Santana made the two runs that scored on Bobby Witt Jr.’s single unearned. With nine saves already, Duran remains perfect in save opportunities this year. He has rewarded patient fantasy managers that drafted the closer who was injured to begin the season.

    • Goes deep Wednesday
Ohtani went 2-for-5 with a two-run home run and an additional RBI in Wednesday's 10-3 win over the Mets.

Advice: Ohtani knocked a run-scoring single in the fifth inning and capped his performance with a two-run blast in the eighth. The long ball was his first since May 17 and pushed him to 14 on the campaign, eighth-most in the majors. Ohtani has added 38 RBI, 41 runs, 13 stolen bases and a .330/.395/.615 slash line through 248 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Thursday, 10:17 am

    • Allows one run in no-decision
Verlander did not factor into the decision in Wednesday's loss to the Mariners, allowing one run on three hits and one walk over seven innings while striking out nine.

Advice: Verlander got off to a great start, hurling 1-2-3 innings in three of the first four frames before surrendering a solo homer to Dominic Canzone in the fifth. The veteran right-hander would only allow a walk from that point on and managed to go seven innings for the third time in his last six starts. Verlander also matched his season high with nine strikeouts, which he also recorded in his previous start against the Athletics. Rotowire.com Thursday, 7:12 am

    • Solo homer in loss
O'Hoppe went 1-for-4 with a solo homer in Wednesday's loss to the Yankees.

Advice: O'Hoppe went down on strikes in each of his first two at-bats before launching a solo home run off Luis Gil in the bottom of the seventh to bring the Angels back within one run of New York. It was the young catcher's fourth long ball in May and the third in his last seven games. He's now hit safely in four of his last five contests but is still batting just .247 on the month with 15 RBI and nine runs scored. Rotowire.com Thursday, 4:39 am
    • Crushes grand slam Wednesday
Henderson went 1-for-4 with a grand slam in Wednesday's 6-1 win over the Red Sox.

Advice: The majority of Baltimore's scoring output came on Henderson's second-inning, 422-foot grand slam. It was the young shortstop's second career grand slam and 18th homer of the campaign, tying him with Kyle Tucker for the MLB lead. Henderson also ranks seventh in the league with a .938 OPS. • Justin Verlander strikes out nine in no-decision
Justin Verlander allowed one run with nine strikeouts over seven innings in a no-decision against the Mariners on Wednesday.

Advice: Verlander scattered three hits and one walk, striking out nine batters for the second consecutive start. The only run the Mariners would score on him came on a solo homer by Dominic Canzone in the fifth inning. The 41-year-old right-hander ends the day with a 3.26 ERA, 1.13 WHIP, and a 44/15 K/BB ratio across 47 innings. He’ll take on the Cardinals in Houston on Monday. Rotoworld Wednesday, 9:24 pm

    • Logan O’Hoppe goes yard in loss to Yankees
Logan O’Hoppe went 1-for-4 with a solo homer against the Yankees on Wednesday.

Advice: O’Hoppe scored the only run of the game for the Angels on Wednesday, taking Luis Gil deep for a solo homer in the seventh inning. It was the sixth homer of the season for the 24-year-old backstop. He’s slashing .259/.313/.416 with 25 RBI across 180 plate appearances. Rotoworld Wednesday, 9:14 pm
    • Gunnar Henderson’s grand slam powers Orioles
Gunnar Henderson blasted a grand slam on Wednesday, powering the Orioles to a 6-1 victory over the visiting Red Sox.

Advice: The 22-year-old superstar changed the entire complexion of the ballgame in the second inning as he crushed a 1-0 cutter from Kutter Crawford for a 422-foot (109.2 mph EV) grand slam that gave the Orioles a 5-1 lead. It would be his only hit in four at-bats on the night, but was more than enough to propel his team to victory. Henderson is playing like he has his sights set on the American League MVP award this season — slashing .258/.354/.584 with 18 homers and 41 RBI. Rotoworld Wednesday, 7:18 pm

    • Shohei Ohtani homers, plates three in blowout win
Shohei Ohtani went 2-for-5 with a two-run homer and three RBI on Wednesday in the Dodgers’ lopsided win over the Mets.

Advice: Ohtani extended Los Angeles’ early lead with a fifth-inning RBI single before clobbering a two-run homer -- his 14th round-tripper of the season -- off Mets reliever Jorge López in the eighth inning. The 29-year-old two-way superstar holds an astronomical 1.010 OPS in his Dodgers debut so far. That’ll work. Rotoworld Wednesday, 5:28 pm
