      Advice: Profar dealt with a knee injury earlier in June, and he didn't appear to be running at full strength to begin Friday's game.       Advice: Hernandez departed in the seventh inning of Wednesday's matchup between the clubs, but manager Dave Roberts indicated afterward that the early exit was simply for rest reasons, and the outfielder's inclusion in Thursday's lineup seems to validate that claim. Hernandez certainly didn't appear bothered by any issues in the finale of the four-game set, as he recorded his fourth three-hit performance of the campaign.       Helsley picked up the save over the Giants on Thursday, allowing one hit and one walk over one inning while striking out two.

      Advice: Helsley took over in the ninth to protect a one-run lead and proceeded to walk the leadoff man while also coughing up a single three batters later. However, the right-hander rebounded nicely, striking out Matt Chapman to stop the late rally and earn his league-leading 25th save of the season.       Advice: Lugo held the A's scoreless until Zack Gelof tagged him for a two-run homer with two outs in the seventh inning. The blast tied the game, costing Lugo a chance at his 11th win of the campaign. The right-hander nonetheless notched his 12th quality start, which is tied for the MLB lead.       Stone (8-2) earned the win over Colorado on Thursday, allowing two runs on four hits and two walks while striking out seven batters over 5.1 innings.

      Advice: Stone performed well in the Colorado altitude, as none of the four hits against him went for extra bases. The right-hander was working on a shutout through five frames but fell off in the sixth inning, loading the bases with one out on a pair of walks and a single before getting the hook. Two of those three runners scored after his departure, but that didn't prevent Stone from registering the win. The 25-year-old has become a key part of Los Angeles' rotation in his first full MLB campaign, leading the team with eight victories while posting a 3.04 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 63:25 K:BB over 80 innings.     • Ryan Helsley secures MLB-leading 25th save
      Ryan Helsley fired a scoreless ninth inning on Thursday against the Giants to record his major league-leading 25th save of the season.

      Advice: Helsley was summoned to protect a narrow one-run lead at historic Rickwood Field in Birmingham, Alabama and made things interesting by issuing a leadoff walk to Trenton Brooks and surrendering a two-out single to Patrick Bailey, which put the potential tying run in scoring position. He managed to wriggle out of the jam by striking out Matt Chapman to extinguish the threat. The hard-throwing 29-year-old righty has converted 25 of 26 save chances this season to go along with a sparkling 2.45 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 38/13 K/BB ratio across 33 innings (33 appearances).       Gil (9-2) was hit with the loss against the Orioles on Thursday, allowing seven runs on eight hits and two walks while striking out one over 1.1 innings.

      Advice: Gil struggled out of the gate, surrendering a leadoff double to open the contest before eventually allowing one run in the first. However, things would get much worse for the right-hander in the following frame, as he failed to retire nine of the next 10 batters he faced, leading to his shortest outing of the campaign. Gil gave up a season-high seven runs on the afternoon and failed to make it through six innings for the third consecutive start. It also marked his first loss since April 15 against Toronto.
