    • Nolan Jones (back, knee) rejoins Rockies on Friday
Rockies activated OF Nolan Jones from the 10-day injured list.

Advice: The dynamic 26-year-old has been sidelined since April 29 due to back and knee issues, but is finally ready to return to the Rockies’ lineup. Prior to landing on the injured list, he was hitting a paltry .170/.243/.277 with one homer, seven RBI and a pair of stolen bases through his first 26 ballgames. Jones will start in left field and bat fifth against Carmen Mlodzinski and the Pirates on Friday evening at Coors Field. Rotoworld Friday, 2:57 pm
    • Reinstated from IL
Jones (knee) was reinstated from the 10-day injured list Friday.

Advice: Jones landed on the injured list April 30 due to back stiffness. His initial rehab assignment was halted May 21 due to right knee soreness stemming from a slide, but he was able to resume activities June 3. Across his 12 rehab games with Triple-A Albuquerque, Jones went 9-for-42 with six runs, one home run and six RBI. He is starting in left field and batting fifth in Friday's game against the Pirates. To make room for Jones, Colorado placed Elias Diaz on the 10-day IL with a left calf strain, retroactive to June 11. Rotowire.com Friday, 2:32 pm
    • On base five times in loss
Perez went 2-for-2 with three walks in Wednesday's 11-5 loss to the Yankees.

Advice: Perez walked three times in a game for the first time in his career. The catcher has gone just 6-for-33 (.182) over 10 contests in June, but he's shown rare patience at the plate by drawing eight walks in that span. For the season, he's at a .302/.381/.488 slash line with 10 home runs, 42 RBI, 26 runs scored, 15 doubles and no stolen bases, and his 9.0 percent walk rate is double his previous career high, which was in a 39-game sample as a rookie in 2011. • Hits go-ahead homer in win
Bellinger went 2-for-5 with a three-run home run in a 4-3 win over Tampa Bay on Wednesday.

Advice: With the Cubs trailing 2-1 with two outs in the seventh inning, Bellinger changed the game with a three-run home run off Tampa Bay reliever Garrett Cleavinger then added a single in the ninth. While the homer was his first in June, Bellinger now has four straight multi-hit efforts for a total of five in 10 contests this month. On the season, Bellinger is slashing .267/.324/.456 with nine home runs and 32 RBI in 238 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 7:41 pm

    • Cody Bellinger powers Cubs past Rays
Cody Bellinger went 2-for-5 and hit a three-run homer in the seventh to lead the Cubs to a 4-3 victory over the Rays on Wednesday.

Advice: The homer came off Garrett Cleavinger, a lefty who hadn’t previously allowed one in 27 innings this season. It was Bellinger’s ninth in 54 games. He’s not doing anything quite as well as he did last year, but that was probably to be expected. He’s still been a fine regular for the Cubs, and he might offer more to fantasy leaguers if he gets back to stealing more bases; he has three right now after finishing with 20 last year. • Goes deep in win
Naylor went 2-for-5 with a solo home run and two additional RBI in Tuesday's 5-3 win over the Reds.

Advice: Naylor had an RBI single and drove in another run with a fielder's choice in the contest. While his bat is still quiet in June -- he's gone 5-for-32 (.156) over eight games -- he's still driven in eight RBI this month. Overall, the first baseman is slashing .224/.307/.483 with 17 homers, 50 RBI, 36 runs scored and three stolen bases through 62 contests. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 9:46 am

    • Josh Naylor has two hits, HR in win
Josh Naylor went 2-for-5 with a home run and three RBI in a win over the Reds on Tuesday.

Advice: Naylor blooped in a 79 mph single in the third inning that scored a run, but he certainly got all of his home run in the eighth inning, hitting it 425 feet at 109 mph for his 17th home run on the season. The .224 batting average might not be what you were looking for but the power and 50 RBIs have been elite for Naylor this season. He may be sacrificing a bit of average for power, but he also came into this game with a .200 BABIP, which is well below his career mark of .283. The batting average should continue to tick up as the summer goes on. Rotoworld Tuesday, 7:40 pm

    • Requires more rehab time
The Rockies elected not to activate Jones (knee/back) from the 10-day injured list Monday as previously planned, as the club determined that the outfielder needs more time in the minors to find his proper swing, MLB.com reports.

Advice: Before he was placed on the IL on April 30 with a low-back strain, Jones had gotten off to a disappointing start to the season, slashing just .170/.243/.277 with a 35.9 percent strikeout rate over 103 plate appearances. After starting up a rehab assignment in mid-May, Jones played in just three games before being shut down with a left knee injury, but he was cleared to report back to Triple-A Albuquerque on June 2. Though Jones hasn't reported any issues with his back or knee since returning to action, he's still hitting just .231 with a 36.7 percent strikeout rate in his seven games during the second rehab assignment. The Rockies likely want to see Jones find some success in the minors prior to activating him, so the 26-year-old could remain with Albuquerque through at least Thursday before the Rockies return home Friday to begin a series with the Pirates. • Two hits, stolen base in loss
Bellinger went 2-for-5 with a run and a stolen base in Saturday's 4-3 loss to the Reds.

Advice: Bellinger reached on a two-out single in the first inning, and he then stole second and came around to score on a Dansby Swanson double. It was just Bellinger's third stolen base of the season after he swiped a career-best 20 bags last season. The 28-year-old is heating up at the dish with seven multi-hit efforts over his last 14 games, and he's accounted for all three of his steals over that stretch. Rotowire.com Jun 8, 6:57 pm
