    • Short start versus Marlins
Crochet allowed two runs on five hits and three walks while striking out five over four innings in a no-decision versus the Marlins.

Advice: Crochet failed to complete five innings for the first time since April 24. He wasn't efficient Saturday, requiring 93 pitches (65 strikes) to get through his four frames, though he did a decent job of limiting the damage. It's a rare misstep for the southpaw, who is now at a 3.08 ERA, 0.97 WHIP and 146:23 K:BB over 105.1 innings through 19 starts this season. Crochet is projected to make his next start at home versus the Pirates. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:58 pm

    • Sets off offensive explosion
Rooker went 3-for-4 with a three-run home run, an additional RBI and three total runs in Saturday's 19-8 shellacking of the Orioles.

Advice: Rooker kicked off a huge day for Oakland's offense with a three-run blast in the first inning. The outfielder finished with his fourth three-hit game of the campaign and notched his third performance of at least four RBI. Rooker made a name for himself in fantasy circles for the first time last season when he collected 30 homers and 69 RBI, and he's on pace to surpass both marks this year with 18 long balls and 54 RBI through 312 plate appearances. • Homers in win over Giants
Kwan went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and an additional run scored in Saturday's 5-4 win over the Giants.

Advice: Kwan has gone deep in two of his last three games, and he's hit five homers over his last 17 contests while batting .294 (20-for-68) in that span. While he's cooled off from flirting with a .400 batting average in mid-to-late June, he continues to impress with his consistency at the plate. The outfielder has a .365/.421/.542 slash line for the year while adding nine homers, 27 RBI, 52 runs scored and four stolen bases over 61 contests. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:54 pm

    • Collects save Saturday
Clase walked one and struck out none over a scoreless and hitless inning to earn the save in Saturday's 5-4 win over the Giants.

Advice: Clase has earned six saves and a win during his active nine-inning scoreless streak. He's added a 5:2 K:BB in that span. The closer is 26-for-29 in save chances this year with a 0.65 ERA, 0.63 WHIP and 39:5 K:BB across 41.1 innings. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:47 pm
    • Trea Turner plates lone run in loss to Braves
Trea Turner went 1-for-4 and drove in the Phillies’ lone run in Saturday night’s loss to the Braves.

Advice: Turner got the Phillies on the board with a run-scoring single off of Spencer Schwellenbach in the third inning that plated Johan Rojas. That would be all of the offense that they could muster in the contest. The 31-year-old shortstop has been terrific when he has been on the field this season, hitting .340/.383/.505 with seven homers, 23 RBI and 11 stolen bases in 50 games. • Homer, steal in loss
Devers went 2-for-4 with a home run, two RBI, two runs scored and a stolen base in a 14-4 loss to the Yankees on Saturday.

Advice: Devers hit an RBI single in the third inning before stealing second and coming around to score later in the frame. He then chased Gerrit Cole in the fifth with his 26th career home run against the Yankees. The steal was just his second of the season, but the 27-year-old has slashed a fantastic .287/.373/.570 with 19 home runs, 53 RBI and 54 runs scored over 332 plate appearances. • Brent Rooker drives in four of Athletics’ 19 runs
Brent Rooker went 3-for-4 with a homer and four RBI in a 19-8 rout of the Orioles on Saturday.

Advice: The Athletics have now scored 19 runs twice in 2024, which is two times more than any other team in baseball. This is a weird sport. Rooker hit one of five homers for the A’s, and he got the party started early with a three-run shot off a completely ineffective Cade Povich. He also scored three runs because of course he did, everyone did. That’s not true but it sure felt that way. Rooker has homered 18 times while driving in 54 runs in a very impressive first-half of 2024, even while playing for one of the worst teams in baseball. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:14 pm

    • Kwan belts ninth home run in win Saturday
Steven Kwan went 2-for-4 with two runs scored and a solo home run against the Giants on Saturday.

Advice: Kwan’s home run was his ninth of the season. He hit a single in the first inning against Kyle Harrison and came around to score on an RBI groundout by Josh Naylor. In the second inning, he homered off Harrison. That’ll do. Kwan is hitting .365 with a .963 OPS and 27 RBI on the season. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:58 pm

    • Clase picks up AL-leading 26th save vs. Giants
Emmanuel Clase pitched a scoreless ninth inning and picked up the save against the Giants on Saturday.

Advice: The save was Clase’s 26th of the year. With another scoreless appearance, his ERA is down to 0.65. Only Ryan Helsley of the Cardinals has more saves than Clase does this year. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:56 pm
