    • Tyler O’Neill drives in two, steals two bases
Tyler O’Neill went 3-for-5 with two RBI and two stolen bases in a 6-5 win over the Marlins on Thursday in 12 innings.

Advice: O’Neill picked up both RBI in extra innings. The first was an infield single to give Boston a 3-2 lead in the 11th, and the next was a double in the 12th that extended the lead for the Red Sox to 6-4. The steals are a bit of a rarity for the outfielder, as they were just the second and third of the season for the 29-year-old. O’Neill certainly has the speed to contribute in that category, so it’s possible he’ll run more in the second half of the campaign. Rotoworld Today, 1:49 pm

    • Henry Davis (concussion) re-starts rehab assignment
Henry Davis (concussion) will resume a minor league rehab assignment on Thursday with Triple-A Indianapolis.

Advice: Davis was asymptomatic earlier this week when he resumed catching bullpen sessions and will get back into minor-league game action on Thursday night. The 24-year-old backstop has been out since mid-June recovering from a concussion. Rotoworld Today, 1:41 pm

    • Ramón Laureano remains out due to back issue
Ramón Laureano (back) remains out of the lineup for Thursday’s game against the Giants.

Advice: Laureano hasn’t played in over a week due to an ongoing back issue, which has morphed into more of an oblique concern of late. However, the Braves have yet to officially send him to the injured list. There’s no timetable for his return yet. Rotoworld Today, 1:34 pm

    • Mark Canha snaps six-game hitless streak
Mark Canha singled Thursday to snap a six-game hitless streak.

Advice: To celebrate, they’re planning fireworks for after the game. Canha is 3-for-39 in his last 12 games. His last extra-base hit came June 17, and he hasn’t homered since May 11. It’s also not like he’s any longer particularly useful on defense at age 35, and it’d seem to be worth it for the Tigers to give Parker Meadows or Spencer Torkelson another shot in his place. • Mariners claim Duke Ellis off waivers from Mets
Mariners claimed OF Duke Ellis off waivers from the Mets.

Advice: Ellis makes sense for Seattle as a late-inning pinch-running specialist at some point in the postseason, but he’s not exactly fantasy-relevant at this point, despite his wheels on the bases. The 26-year-old speedster got into eight contests earlier this season for the White Sox prior to being waived. Rotoworld Today, 1:20 pm

    • Resuming rehab assignment
Davis (concussion) will resume a rehab assignment with Triple-A Indianapolis on Thursday, Noah Hiles of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.

Advice: Davis was pulled off a rehab assignment with Double-A Altoona this past weekend after he experienced recurring concussion symptoms. However, he's evidently passed the necessary protocols and will resume things in Indianapolis. Davis could be ready for activation soon if he can avoid another setback, but he's not a given to return to the big-league roster at that time. Rotowire.com Today, 1:15 pm

    • Spencer Steer socks three-run HR against Yankees
Spencer Steer hit a three-run homer while helping the Reds to an 8-4 win over the Yankees on Thursday.

Advice: Steer extended the Reds’ lead to 5-0 with a three-run blast off Marcus Stroman; the third homer Cincinnati hit against the right-hander. Steer has now gone deep 11 times with 54 RBI. The 26-year-old infielder’s .239/.332/.416 slash leaves a bit to be desired, but he’s starting to swing the bat better and should be a solid fantasy option over the second half of the 2024 campaign. • Juan Soto homers and walks in loss to Reds
Juan Soto homered and walked in a loss to the Reds on Thursday.

Advice: Soto swatted a two-run dinger in the eighth inning to cut Cincinnati’s lead to 8-4, but the Yankees got no closer. The homer and walk improves the All-Star’s slash to .300/.438/.568 with 21 blasts and 63 RBI. Rotoworld Today, 1:11 pm

    • Fraley plates three as Reds defeat Yankees
Jake Fraley drove in three runs while going 2-for-4 with a triple Thursday against the Yankees.

Advice: All three runs were driven in on the triple, and it extended the Cincinnati lead to 8-2 in the seventh inning. The 29-year-old hasn’t shown much power in 2024 with just a .356 slugging mark, but his .278 average and .333 on-base percentage are nothing to sneeze at. Expect more pop from Fraley in the second half of the season. Rotoworld Today, 1:11 pm
