Lopez (7-3) took the loss Saturday, giving up three runs on 11 hits over six innings as Atlanta was downed 4-0 by the Padres. He struck out two without walking a batter.

Advice: The right-hander didn't give up a lot of hard contact, as nine of the 11 hits were singles and the other two were well-placed doubles, but it was still a season high in knocks allowed for Lopez. It's his first loss since May 25, snapping a seven-start stretch in which he'd gone 5-0 with a 1.64 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and 46:16 K:BB through 38.1 innings. Fatigue could be creeping in for the converted reliever, as his 95.2 innings on the year are already his highest total since 2019, but he may not get much of a rest over the break after earning an All-Star Game berth for the first time in his career. • Steal, run scored in win
Smith went 0-for-2 with two walks, a stolen base, a caught stealing and a run scored in Saturday's 2-1 extra-inning win over Houston.

Advice: Smith scored the go-ahead run in the 10th inning as the automatic runner and stole his first base in 29 games. The theft was his fifth (caught once), a new career-high in the majors. Smith was also hit by a pitch for the 15th time this season, tops in MLB. Rotowire.com 15 minutes ago

    • Leads charge in twin bill
Winn went 4-for-9 with a home run, three runs scored and three RBI across both games of Saturday's doubleheader sweep of the Cubs.

Advice: Hitting leadoff in both contests, Winn banged out two hits in each and wrapped his day with a solo shot off Javier Assad on the third pitch he saw in the nightcap. Winn is having a strong start to July, slashing .300/.364/.400 through 12 games with two doubles, a homer, a steal, five RBI and 10 runs. Rotowire.com 26 minutes ago

    • José Berríos turns in another clunker on Saturday
José Berríos was lit up for five runs over four innings on Saturday in a loss to the Diamondbacks.

Advice: Berríos managed to keep the ball in the yard, but was victimized for seven hits in this one as Arizona forced him from his final first-half outing after just 90 pitches (55 strikes) over four frames. He was all over the place from a command standpoint, issuing four walks, while also failing to record a strikeout. It’s the fifth time in his last six starts since June 16 that Berríos has allowed four earned runs or more. He’ll attempt to turn the page coming out of next week’s All-Star break. • Surrenders five runs in loss
Berrios (8-7) took the loss Saturday versus the Diamondbacks, allowing five runs on seven hits and four walks over four innings. He did not record a strikeout.

Advice: Berrios enters the All-Star break on a bit of a skid, having allowing 14 runs over his last 15 innings. The one bright side to his start Saturday was that he didn't give up a home run, the first time he's kept the ball in the yard since May 31. The veteran right-hander is at a 4.01 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 87:33 K:BB over 119 innings through 20 starts this season. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:32 pm

    • Reynaldo López posts quality start in loss to Pads
Reynaldo López posted a quality start in Saturday’s loss to the Padres, giving up three runs on 11 hits across his six innings of work.

Advice: The 30-year-old right-hander struck out two batters on the evening and didn’t issue a base on balls. Three different times the Padres scratched out single runs against him — on an RBI double by David Peralta in the second, an RBI double by Luis Arraez in the fifth and a run-scoring single by Peralta in the sixth inning. López got just seven swings and misses on 93 pitches on the night, registering a CSW of 27 percent. He concludes a masterful first half of the season with a 7-3 record, 1.88 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and a 95/34 K/BB ratio over 95 2/3 innings in his 17 starts. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:54 pm

    • Cracks 16th homer
De La Cruz went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Saturday's win over the Marlins.

Advice: The Reds teed off on Edward Cabrera and the Miami bullpen for six combined homers, and De La Cruz got in on the fun with a long ball to the batter's eye in the third inning. De La Cruz has been managing a hand issue recently, but it hasn't cost him playing time -- his absence Thursday was said to be unrelated -- nor has it affected his performance. De La Cruz is a first-time All-Star and he's been a top-10 fantasy player so far this season on account of his .255/.345/.476 slash line, 16 homers, 41 RBI, 63 runs and 46 steals through 95 games. • Blows second save
Megill (0-2) was charged with a blown save and the loss Saturday versus the Nationals after he allowed two runs on two hits over 1.1 innings. He struck out two and walked none.

Advice: The right-hander entered with two outs in the eighth inning and stranded a pair of runners with a strikeout, but he was unable to maintain a one-run lead in the ninth as CJ Abrams clubbed a two-run homer. The blown save ends a stretch of 12 straight conversions for Megill, who also hadn't given up a run in his previous 10 outings. The 30-year-old remains locked in as Milwaukee's closer for now, but Devin Williams (back) began a rehab assignment Saturday and should reclaim the job early in the second half. • Megill blows second save against Nationals
Trevor Megill allowed two runs and blew the save against the Nationals on Saturday.

Advice: Megill entered in the eighth inning with two outs and two men on and struck out Jesse Winker. With a one-run lead in the ninth inning, Megill gave up a single to Luis Garcia Jr. and a home run to CJ Abrams. It was just his second blown save in 20 chances this year. Megill has a 2.05 ERA on the season. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:49 pm
