    • Helsley tosses scoreless ninth for 30th save
      Ryan Helsley pitched a scoreless ninth inning and picked up the save against the Reds on Sunday.

      Advice: Hensley’s save was his 30th and he recorded two strikeouts in the process. His ERA is 2.61 on the season. Helsley’s well on his way to a 40-save season and anything beyond that would just be a monster year for fantasy. Rotoworld Sunday, 1:57 pm
       
    • Turang hits grand slam in route against Cubs
      Brice Turang went 2-for-5 with a grand slam against the Cubs on Sunday.



      Advice: The home run was Turang’s sixth of the year. The speedster played the role of power hitter in this one. He chased Kyle Hendricks from the game with a grand slam with two outs in the fourth inning to give the Brewers a 7-0 lead. Turang is hitting .292 with a .771 OPS and 28 steals on the season.

      Turang went 2-for-5 with an RBI and a stolen base in a loss to the Cubs on Saturday.

      Advice: Turang's speed was on display in the defeat -- he plated the Brewers' first run with an RBI bunt single in the third inning and followed the hit with a steal of second base. The swipe was his 28th of the season, second most in the majors. Fantasy managers should have been aware of Turang's speed coming into the campaign after he swiped 26 bags in 137 games last year, but the second baseman's other offensive stats have been a pleasant surprise.     • Works out on treadmill
      Stanton (hamstring) resumed activity on a treadmill Thursday, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.

      Advice: Given the nature of Stanton's injury, any work on a treadmill is a sign of positive progress, though manager Aaron Boone characterized the slugger's activity level as "not a lot." Stanton went on the injured list with a hamstring strain June 23 and subsequently said he expects to miss about four weeks of action, so he's not expected to be activated until after the All-Star break.       Advice: Rooker has homered twice over the last three games and has knocked seven extra-base hits over his last 16 contests. The 29-year-old's homer Friday was his 15th of the season, putting him just slightly behind the pace to match his 30-homer campaign from 2023.       Ryan Helsley worked a flawless ninth for his 29th save Friday against the Reds.

      Advice: Helsley very nearly surrendered a game-tying homer to Stuart Fairchild with two outs in the ninth, but Brendan Donovan made a jumping catch at the wall. Statcast said it would have been a homer in 14 of the 30 parks. This was a very quick outing for Helsley — he threw just six pitches — so even though he’s worked four out of six days, there’s a good chance he’ll be available Saturday.       Helsley struck out one batter in a perfect inning to earn a save over the Reds on Friday.

      Advice: Helsley had about as efficient of an outing as possible, needing only six pitches to close out the 1-0 game. It was his 29th save in 30 tries this season, and he lowered his June ERA to 3.00 through 12 appearances. Helsley leads all of baseball in saves and no one else has more than 25.       Salvador Perez went 2-for-4 with a homer, two RBI and a walk Friday in the Royals’ 10-3 drubbing of the Guardians.

      Advice: The veteran Royal crushed a titanic 447-foot solo homer off Triston McKenzie in the second inning to tie the game at 1-1. Perez later tallied an additional RBI with a single to drive Maikel Garcia home in the third.
