    • Resting versus LHP
Carroll isn't in Arizona's lineup for Saturday's game against Oakland.

Advice: The lefty-hitting Carroll will take a seat Saturday with fellow left-hander Hogan Harris slated to start on the mound. Lourdes Gurriel, Jake McCarthy and Randal Grichuk will start across the D-backs' outfield while Carroll rests. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:09 am

    • Corbin Carroll sits Saturday against southpaw
Corbin Carroll is not in the lineup for Saturday’s game against the Athletics.

Advice: It appears to be a routine off day for Carroll with lefty Hogan Harris drawing the starting assignment on Saturday afternoon for Oakland. The 23-year-old’s sophomore campaign hasn’t gone as planned, but he’s shown some signs of life over the last few weeks, batting .253 (22-for-87) with eight extra-base hits (zero homers) and five steals since June 1. The complete lack of over-the-fence pop at the moment remains a massive concern for fantasy managers moving forward. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:06 am

    • Back in lineup Saturday
Fraley (calf) is starting in right field and batting fourth Saturday against St. Louis.

Advice: Fraley missed three games after being scratched from Wednesday's lineup due to a bruised calf, but the issue has subsided ahead of Saturday's contest. The 29-year-old outfielder currently owns a career-best .277 batting average on the season; however, his .676 OPS represents his lowest mark since joining the Reds in 2022. • Jake Fraley returns to lineup Saturday vs. Cards
Jake Fraley (calf) is back in the lineup for Saturday’s contest against the Cardinals.

Advice: Fraley is back at designated hitter and batting cleanup on Saturday afternoon following a three-game absence due to a right calf issue. It doesn’t sound like he’s going to wind up missing any additional time, but we’ll see. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:34 am

    • Dropped in order against lefty
Carroll batted seventh and went 1-for-3 with a walk and a run scored in Friday's 9-4 loss to the Athletics.

Advice: Carroll was dropped from the top of the order to seventh against a left-hander, though it's unclear if this was a specific adjustment for one game or part of a larger plan going forward against lefties. Carroll appeared to put a season-opening slump behind him earlier this month but was 3-for-22 (.136) over seven games entering Friday. It seems odd that manager Torey Lovullo would drop him after a one-week slump. More should be learned Saturday, when the A's scheduled starter is lefty Hogan Harris. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:00 am

    • Trio of hits in loss
Fry went 3-for-4 with two doubles in Friday's 10-3 loss to the Royals.

Advice: Fry is 12-for-40 (.300) over his last 12 contests, adding five doubles and two RBI in that span. That's a bit less all-around production than he was showing earlier in the campaign, but it's still a solid showing. He's now at a .316/.422/.532 slash line with eight home runs, 32 RBI, 28 runs scored, four stolen bases and 13 doubles through 60 games. Fry has mostly seen time at designated hitter and catcher recently, but he could also be an option in right field while Will Brennan (ribs) is on the injured list. Rotowire.com Friday, 11:58 pm

    • Steals, reaches three times in win
Marsh went 1-for-2 with a double, two walks and a stolen base in a 2-0 win over the Marlins on Friday.

Advice: Marsh doubled in the second inning and walked and stole second in the fourth. He later walked again in the eighth and has reached base seven times in his past two starts with a home run and a steal. Thanks to recent injuries to Bryce Harper (hamstring) and Kyle Schwarber (groin), Marsh was in the cleanup spot Friday night and will likely continue to hit in the middle of the order against right-handed pitching while his teammates remain on the injured list. The 26-year-old is now hitting .270 with seven home runs, 31 RBI, 25 runs scored and nine steals through 225 plate appearances this season. Rotowire.com Friday, 6:22 pm

    • Brandon Marsh reaches three times in win on Friday
Brandon Marsh doubled, drew a pair of walks and stole a base as the Phillies triumphed over the Marlins on Friday evening in Philadelphia.

Advice: Marsh led off the second inning with a double and advanced to third on a fly ball but was left stranded there. He then drew a one-out walk off of Kyle Tyler in the fourth inning and swiped second base to get himself into scoring position, but the Phillies were unable to cash him in. The 26-year-old outfielder is enjoying a solid season — slashing .270/.351/.429 with seven homers, 31 RBI and nine stolen bases. Rotoworld Friday, 5:48 pm

    • Expected to play Saturday
Fraley (calf) is expected to be back in the lineup Saturday at St. Louis, Mark Sheldon of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Fraley has missed two consecutive contests with a right calf contusion, but he's on track to return Saturday. Santiago Espinal has drawn starts at DH in Fraley's place. Rotowire.com Friday, 2:47 pm
