    • MRI negative on Corey Seager’s hand
An MRI on Corey Seager’s injured left hand came back negative, leaving the shortstop day-to-day.

Advice: Seager left Saturday’s game after being hit by a pitch and didn’t play Sunday. With no damage inside the hand, he’ll be able to play as soon as he feels comfortable gripping and swinging a bat. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:23 pm

    • MRI comes back negative
An MRI on Seager's left wrist has come back negative, Evan Grant of The Dallas Morning News reports.

Advice: X-rays had also previously came back clean, so Seager's return to the Rangers' lineup will be determined by how much discomfort and swelling he's dealing with. The shortstop was injured when he was struck by a pitch Saturday in Baltimore and didn't play Sunday's game, but he has managed to avoid a serious injury and should be considered day-to-day. Texas has a team off day Monday before starting a series at home against the Padres on Tuesday. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 2:38 pm

    • Corey Seager absent due to hand injury
Corey Seager, who hurt his left hand when he was hit by a pitch Saturday, is out of the Rangers lineup for Sunday night’s game against the Orioles.

Advice: Josh Smith starts at shortstop, with Davis Wendzel playing third base. The good news is that Seager isn’t going on the IL, at least not yet. The Rangers have tomorrow off, so they can wait until Tuesday to make a decision there. Rotoworld Sunday, 1:41 pm

    • Withheld from Sunday's lineup
Seager (wrist) is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Orioles.

Advice: The 30-year-old had X-rays come back negative after being struck in the left wrist by a pitch Saturday, and he'll miss at least one start. The Rangers are calling up Jonathan Ornelas for added infield depth, per Evan Grant of The Dallas Morning News, which could signify that Seager will miss some time. No IL move is coming Sunday though, as Brock Burke was optioned to Triple-A Round Rock. Josh Smith is starting at shortstop as Davis Wendzel mans the hot corner. Rotowire.com Sunday, 1:37 pm

    • Initial X-rays come back negative for Corey Seager
Initial X-rays on the injured left hand/wrist of Corey Seager came back negative for any fractures on Saturday.

Advice: That doesn’t necessarily mean that the coast is clear, as he’ll still undergo additional testing, but it’s very encouraging to hear that there were no fractures revealed on the initial X-rays. Fantasy managers shouldn’t expect Seager to return to action on Sunday, but it sounds like he was fortunate to have avoided any serious injuries this time. Rotoworld Saturday, 6:25 pm

    • X-rays on wrist return negative
X-rays on Seager's left wrist came back negative after he exited in the fifth inning of Saturday's 6-5 loss to the Orioles when he was hit by a pitch, Evan Grant of The Dallas Morning News reports. He'll undergo further evaluation Sunday.

Advice: Seager went 1-for-2 with a solo home run before his night came to an early end during his third trip to the plate. He looked to be in significant pain when he took a Cade Povich pitch to the wrist, but fortunately, he appears to have avoided any structural damage. Even so, Seager is likely still hurting and shouldn't be expected to return to the lineup for Sunday's series finale in Baltimore. The Rangers will likely see how he's feeling early Sunday before providing an update on his status. Rotowire.com Saturday, 6:24 pm

    • Exits after HBP
Seager was hit in the left wrist by a pitch in the fifth inning and immediately exited the game, Jake Rill of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Seager was in visible pain after being hit in the wrist area and walked straight back to the dugout. Davis Wendzel entered to run for Seager. Seager went 1-for-2 with a solo homer before the incident, and we should learn more about the injury postgame. Rotowire.com Saturday, 5:37 pm

    • Corey Seager (hand) leaves game after hit by pitch
Corey Seager was removed from Saturday’s game against the Orioles after being hit by a pitch on his left hand in the fifth inning.

Advice: On the seventh pitch of his at-bat in the fifth inning, Cade Povich tried to come inside with a 90.5 mph sinker and clipped Seager near his left hand/wrist. Seager immediately retreated to the clubhouse, didn’t make any attempt to stay in the game. He’ll head for X-rays to see if there’s any structural damage. All fantasy managers can do now is wait and hope for the best. The Rangers should have an update on his status shortly. Rotoworld Saturday, 5:33 pm

    • Taking seat in series finale
Seager is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Brewers.

Advice: Seager will get a breather for the day game after a night game, opening up shortstop for Josh Smith as the Rangers close out their series in Milwaukee. While starting in each of Texas' last 11 games, Seager went 7-for-42 (.167 average) with no home runs and one stolen base. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 9:38 am
