      McArthur pitched a perfect ninth inning and picked up the save over the Guardians on Thursday.

      Advice: McArthur entered the game with a one-run lead in the ninth and needed only eight pitches to retire the side for his 14th save of the season. The right-hander has been very reliable as of late, hurling a perfect inning in each of his last three appearances while lowering his June ERA to 2.00. On the downside, McArthur has managed just 4:4 K:BB this month over 10 appearances (nine innings) and hasn't recorded a strikeout in either of his last two outings.       Wacha did not factor into the decision in a win over the Guardians on Thursday, allowing one run on seven hits and two walks over 5.1 innings. He struck out six.

      Advice: Wacha loaded the bases in the second inning after walking two batters and hitting another one with a pitch, but the right-hander was able to work his way out of the jam and didn't surrender a run until the fifth when Daniel Schneemann got him for sac fly. Unfortunately for Wacha, he was still unable to walk away with the win for the fourth consecutive start, despite allowing two or fewer runs in each of those outings.     • Blasts eighth homer
      Robert went 2-for-3 with a solo home run during Thursday's 1-0 win over Atlanta.

      Advice: Robert's eighth blast of the season came in the first inning off Chris Sale and was the only run to cross the plate on the day. It was just the fourth multi-hit game of the season for Robert, who missed a couple months earlier this season with a hip flexor strain. While he has struggled to the tune of a .204 batting average and 38 strikeouts over 114 plate appearances for the moribund White Sox, his AB/HR ratio of 12.9 is a career-best mark and portends to good things to come for the 26-year-old slugger.       James McArthur tossed a scoreless ninth inning and picked up the save against the Guardians on Thursday.

    • Wacha strikes out six in no-decision Thursday
      Michael Wacha allowed one run in 5 1/3 innings and got a no-decision in the Royals’ 2-1 victory over the Guardians on Thursday.

      Advice: Wacha gave up seven hits, walked two and struck out six. It was another decent outing for Wacha in his second start since returning from the injured list. Once again the Royals didn’t provide him with any run support while he was in the game. His ERA is 3.91 on the year. The 32-year-old right-hander is set to face the Rays at home next week.

    • Luis Robert homers to give White Sox 1-0 victory
      Luis Robert went 2-for-3 with a homer in a victory over Atlanta on Thursday in the first game of a doubleheader.

      Advice: Robert’s homer was not only the only run Chris Sale allowed and not only the only run for the White Sox, it was the only run scored by either team Thursday. The 26-year-old has homered eight times in his 103 at-bats while driving in 12 runs.       Manager Aaron Boone said there's a "good chance" Torres returns to the lineup Friday, Erik Boland of Newsday reports.

      Advice: Torres has been out of the lineup Wednesday and Thursday after slumping both at the plate and with the glove of late.
