    • Francisco Lindor hits home run in loss
Francisco Lindor hit a late homer off Charlie Morton in a loss to the Braves.

Advice: The Mets’ offense was quiet all night as Morton held them to just three hits, the loudest being Lindor’s solo shot. He’s done well to put his slow start behind him with six homers over the last three weeks. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:49 pm

    • Joe Ryan keeps Blue Jays quiet in victory
Joe Ryan pitched seven innings of one-run ball Friday in the Twins’ 3-2 defeat of the Blue Jays.

Advice: The lone run was a 365-foot homer from Isiah Kiner-Falefa. The ball barely rated as hard hit, leaving his bat at 95.5 mph, and was a homer in only 11 ballparks. It’s Ryan’s fourth straight quality start, and he still hasn’t allowed more than three earned runs in a game this season. Alas, the win tonight was only his second. Ryan will face the Yankees next. • Jhoan Duran gets hold against Blue Jays
Jhoan Duran pitched a hitless eighth against the Blue Jays for his third hold Friday.

Advice: Everything seemed great when Duran notched saves in his first two appearances back from the IL, but he’s been asked to pitch the eighth in three of four outings since. It’s strictly a leverage thing, but it’s annoying for us fantasy leaguers. Duran has been practically perfect since being activated, allowing a total of two hits in six scoreless innings. • Kyle Tucker blasts 12th homer in win over Tigers
Kyle Tucker blasted his league-leading 12th home run on Friday night, helping to power the Astros to a 5-2 victory over the Tigers in the opener of their three-game set in Motown.

Advice: Tucker finally got the Astros on the board in this one with his 409-foot (106.0 mph EV) solo shot off of Casey Mize in the sixth inning. He also drew a pair of walks and scored twice in the contest, finishing the night 1-for-3. On the season, the 27-year-old superstar outfielder is slashing .270/.391/.574 to go with the aforementioned 12 long balls, 26 RBI and six stolen bases. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:08 pm

    • Bobby Miller (shoulder) throws sim game Thursday
Bobby Miller (shoulder) threw two innings in a simulated game on Thursday without any issues.

Advice: The 25-year-old right-hander will repeat the process on Sunday. If all goes well then, he could be cleared to face hitters in a live bullpen session. He’s making slow and methodical progress in his recovery from inflammation in his right shoulder and could potentially be ready to rejoin the Dodgers’ rotation at the end of the month if everything goes according to plan. • Max Kepler takes a seat against left-hander Friday
Max Kepler is not in the Twins’ starting lineup for Friday night’s contest against the Blue Jays.

Advice: Kepler will get a rare night off with left-hander Yusei Kikuchi toeing the slab for the Blue Jays. Kepler has been on fire at the plate since returning from the injured list, slashing .434/.492/.755 with three homers, 14 RBI and a stolen base in 16 games. Expect him to come off the bench on Friday night, then he gets to mash against a pair of right-handers over the remainder of the weekend. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:44 pm

    • Seiya Suzuki (oblique) activated from 10-day IL
Cubs activated OF Seiya Suzuki from the 10-day injured list.

Advice: While the 29-year-old slugger was activated from the injured list, he is not in the Cubs’ starting lineup for Friday night’s showdown against the Pirates as that had been a scheduled day of rest for him after appearing in two straight minor league rehab games. He’ll return to the Cubs’ lineup on Saturday. Suzuki has been sidelined since mid-April due to a right oblique strain. Prior to being shelved, he was hitting .305/.368/.525 with three homers and 13 RBI through his first 15 games on the season. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:53 pm

    • Comes off injured list
Suzuki (oblique) was activated from the 10-day injured list Friday, Maddie Lee of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

Advice: Suzuki's activation comes at a good time for the Cubs' offense, which just lost Dansby Swanson (knee) to the 10-day IL. Suzuki made two rehab appearances at Triple-A Iowa, going 2-for-5 with a pair of runs and a stolen base. He'll likely return to his usual DH role, which could mean fewer opportunities for Patrick Wisdom. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 1:49 pm

    • Not starting against lefty
Kepler is not listed as a starter for Friday's matchup against the Blue Jays.

Advice: The southpaw batter will get a break as Minnesota takes on left-handed starter Yusei Kikuchi. Righty outfielder Manuel Margot will start at right field and bat fifth in place of Kepler. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 1:48 pm
