    • Lugo gets 10th win after six strong vs. Dodgers
      Seth Lugo gave up two runs in six innings to get a win against the Dodgers on Saturday.

      Advice: The victory is already the 10th of the season for Lugo. The right-hander allowed a two-run single to Gavin Lux in the fourth, but outside of that he handled the Dodgers lineup without many issues. He scattered six hits allowed while walking just one and striking out four. Lugo has been excellent in 2024, and it’d be a surprise if he wasn’t an All-Star at this point.     • Completes seven innings in win
      Rodriguez (8-2) earned the win against the Phillies on Saturday, allowing two runs on seven hits and one walk with six strikeouts over seven innings.

      Advice: Rodriguez allowed runs on an RBI double by Alec Bohm in the first inning and a solo home run by Edmundo Sosa in the second but rebounded with five scoreless frames to earn his third consecutive win. This was the first time Rodriguez completed seven innings in a start this season, but he has pitched into the sixth in all but two of his 12 starts so far.       Imanaga (7-1) picked up the win in Saturday's 5-1 victory over the Cardinals, allowing one run on four hits over seven innings. He struck out six without walking a batter.

      Advice: The 30-year-old rookie delivered his eighth quality start in his first 13 big-league outings on 103 pitches (69 strikes), with the only run against Imanaga coming after a leadoff double by Alec Burleson in the fourth inning. Imanaga will take a 1.89 ERA, 0.99 WHIP and 78:11 K:BB through 76 innings into his next outing, which is scheduled to come at home next weekend against the Mets.       Grayson Rodriguez allowed two runs with six strikeouts over seven innings in a win over the Phillies on Saturday.

      Advice: Rodriguez got two quick outs to start the game, but gave up a single and a double that would bring a run in to score for the Phillies in the first. Edmundo Sosa then led off the second inning with a solo homer. Rodriguez settled in to retire ten consecutive batters until working around a single in a scoreless fifth inning. He got into trouble in the sixth with runners on second and third with two outs. Rodriguez got Sosa to strike out swinging to escape the jam, his sixth strikeout on the day. He’d toss one more scoreless frame to complete seven innings for the win.       Shota Imanaga struck out six and allowed one run over seven innings on Saturday in a win over the Cardinals.

      Advice: Imanaga got his first taste of the storied NL Central rivalry on Saturday afternoon at historic Wrigley Field and delivered another masterpiece, throwing a career-high 103 pitches and limiting St. Louis’ lineup to just four baserunners over seven stellar frames. He induced 14 swinging strikes, with a dozen of them coming on his splitter/sweeper combo, and allowed just seven batted balls with an exit velocity in excess of 95 mph. The 30-year-old Japanese southpaw has been a revelation this season in his Cubs debut, allowing two earned runs or fewer in 12 of his 13 starts so far.       Brewers’ manager Pat Murphy told reporters on Saturday that Devin Williams (back) remains on track to return after the All-Star break.

      Advice: Murphy also noted that the 29-year-old hurler is expected to get on a mound soon as he continues his recovery from a pair of stress fractures in his back. While Trevor Megill has been outstanding in his stead, Williams is one of the premiere closers in all of baseball and should jump right back into the Brewers’ ninth inning role as soon as he’s healthy enough to do so.       Advice: Murphy also added that Williams remains on track to return just after the All-Star break, although that would seem to be a tentative timetable given that the reliever has yet to resume throwing off a mound. Williams is working his way back from multiple stress fractures in his back. Trevor Megill has operated as the Brewers' primary closer with Williams on the shelf.       Advice: Bradish pitched five frames in Friday's 5-3 loss to the Phillies, leaving the contest with right elbow discomfort, which is now understood to be due to the much-feared UCL injury. The 27-year-old missed the first month of the season with a UCL sprain, so he's likely set to miss more than the minimum 15 days. Left-hander Nick Vespi was called up from Triple-A Norfolk to replace Bradish on Baltimore's major-league roster in a corresponding move Saturday.       Advice: Not good. Bradish lands on the injured list after being removed from Friday’s start against the Phillies with right elbow discomfort. The primary concern here for fantasy managers is that Bradish missed time earlier this year due to a UCL sprain in his right elbow, which caused him to miss all of spring training and the first month of the season. There should be an update on his status at some point in the near future, but the 27-year-old righty could be facing a lengthy absence.
