    • Aledmys Díaz goes 0-for-3 against Angels
Aledmys Díaz went 0-for-3 with a strikeout as Oakland’s No. 9 hitter Monday against the Angels.

Advice: The A’s got ridiculously lucky that someone took Jace Peterson off their hands last summer, so they’ll keep giving Díaz the occasional start in the hopes that lightning will strike twice. The 33-year-old Díaz is 3-for-27 since returning from a calf injury on May 28. He hit .229/.280/.337 last year in the first season of a two-year, $14.5 million contract. Rotoworld Today, 9:37 pm

    • Michael Lorenzen solid for five against Brewers
Michael Lorenzen yielded two runs in five-plus innings Monday in a no-decision versus the Brewers.

Advice: Lorenzen and Freddy Peralta pitched to a stalemate in this one. Lorenzen struck out five and walked one while throwing 91 pitches. It’s the seventh straight start in which he’s allowed three runs or fewer, and while he didn’t go deep tonight, he’s completed six innings in five of those outing and 10 of 13 starts for the year. • Nathaniel Lowe goes 0-for-4, fans three times
Nathaniel Lowe went 0-for-4 and struck out three times against the Brewers in Monday’s loss.

Advice: Lowe looked like a long-term answer at first base for the Rangers in 2022, but his power production fell off last year and has continued to decline this season, as he’s managed just two homers and three barrels through 228 plate appearances. His .351 OBP is nice, so it seems unlikely that the Rangers will try to upgrade this summer. However, if he fails to step it up, he’s going to be a non-tender candidate this winter. • Orlando Arcia (dizziness) likely to rest Tuesday
Orlando Arcia will likely get Tuesday off after leaving Monday’s game with dizziness.

Advice: The Braves believe he was dehydrated. Zack Short will probably start at shortstop Tuesday, but Arcia might be available off the bench. Rotoworld Today, 8:52 pm

    • Doubles twice, scores three runs
India went 3-for-5 with two doubles, an RBI, three runs scored and a walk in Monday's win over Pittsburgh.

Advice: India picked up a hit and scored a run in each of the fourth, fifth and sixth innings. It was his third straight multi-hit game, boosting his season OPS from .696 to .732 in the process. He's gone 11-for-23 (.478) with five extra-base hits over his last six games. India is now slashing .258/.363/.369 with 16 extra-base this and 33 runs scored through 71 games. Rotowire.com Today, 8:45 pm

    • Likely sitting Tuesday
Manager Brian Snitker stated that the team will probably give Arcia (head) Tuesday off, Justin Toscano of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

Advice: Arcia received fluids after leaving Monday's game due to dizziness and didn't appear to be feeling well in the clubhouse afterward, per Toscano. "Just probably dehydrated, I guess," said Snitker. "I don't know. I know they gave him fluids, so we'll probably put him down tomorrow and let him regroup and see where he's at." Zack Short would be the obvious choice for a start at shortstop Tuesday in Arcia's place. Rotowire.com Today, 8:35 pm

    • Brian Anderson out with bacterial infection
Brian Anderson wasn’t with the Braves for Monday’s game because of a lower body bacterial infection.

Advice: Anderson hasn’t had an at-bat since June 12, but until tonight, we imagine, that was simply because Brian Snitker hates using his bench players. If Anderson needs to go on the IL, the Braves figure to call up either Luke Williams or J.P. Martinez. Rotoworld Today, 8:12 pm

    • Leads offense in loss
Kelly went 2-for-3 with an RBI in Monday's 8-1 loss to the Phillies.

Advice: Detroit sputtered on the mound and at the plate, but Kelly still had a solid performance. The backstop was making his first appearance in three days, pushing Jake Rogers to the bench in the process. Kelly and Rogers are splitting time behind the plate fairly evenly so far this season, though Kelly has been the better offensive option overall with a .711 OPS, compared to just .603 for Rogers. The latter has the slight edge in home runs, however, five to four. Rotowire.com Today, 8:09 pm

    • Renfroe hits seventh home run in win Monday
Hunter Renfroe went 1-for-2 with a walk and a solo home run against the Marlins on Monday.

Advice: Signs of life? Renfroe’s home run was his seventh of the year. He’s still only hitting .198 on the year with a .652 OPS. With the Royals optioning Nelson Velasquez to the minors, Renfroe has to understand it’s getting to be that time where he might not keep his job if his numbers don’t improve. Rotoworld Today, 7:54 pm
