    Advice: Holmes was called upon with two men on and one out in the eighth inning, and he quelled that threat by striking out Gunnar Henderson and Adley Rutschman in succession to end the inning. He returned for the ninth where he allowed a leadoff single to Ryan O’Hearn and nothing more.     Luis Gil out-dueled Corbin Burnes on Wednesday evening in Baltimore, scattering just two hits over 6 1/3 innings of shutout baseball.

    Advice: The right-hander racked up five strikeouts on the night while allowing only one base on balls. Both of the hits against him in the contest were singles and the O’s never really mounted a serious scoring threat against him. Gil generated nine whiffs on 95 pitches on the night — six of those on his fastball which averaged 95.8 mph — while posting a CSW of 26 percent. The 25-year-old hurler has made a major impact in the Yankees’ rotation through the first month-plus of the season, going 2-1 with a 3.19 ERA, 1.19 WHIP and a 40/20 K/BB ratio over 31 innings through his first six starts.     Corbin Burnes logged a quality start in Wednesday’s loss to the Yankees, giving up just two runs on four hits over six strong innings of work.

    Advice: The Orioles’ ace struck out six batters on the night while issuing only one base on balls. All of the damage done against him — and in the game — came on a two-out, two-run homer off the bat of Oswaldo Cabrera in the fifth inning that just barely stayed fair and creeped over the wall in right field. Burnes got 14 swings and misses on 95 pitches in the contest — seven of those on his slider — while registering an elite CSW of 34 percent.     Advice: Wentz has pitched well all season in relief, and he now has his first hold to show for it. The lefty has a miniscule 0.79 ERA across 11.1 innings and he's struck out 14. The move to the bullpen has done wonders for Wentz, as he struggled mightily as a starter last year, posting a 6.80 ERA and 1.68 WHIP across 105.2 innings.     Advice: Muñoz returns to the active roster after a brief stint with Triple-A Jacksonville. The 24-year-old hurler has one start under his belt this season where he stuck out seven and allowed two runs across five innings. Miami has the 3rd-worst starting ERA in baseball so far this season, so the team hopes the addition of Muñoz can provide some stability, but he’s still raw and inexperienced to expect anything great from him early on.     The Marlins recalled Munoz from Triple-A Jacksonville on Wednesday, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.

    Advice: Munoz will start Wednesday's game versus the Rockies in place of the injured Jesus Luzardo (elbow). The right-hander pitched well in a spot start last month in his major-league debut, allowing two runs with seven strikeouts over five innings. Munoz has had a disastrous season at Jacksonville, however, holding an 8.62 ERA and 9:14 K:BB in 15.2 frames. He's not a recommended streaming option even in a favorable matchup.
