• Chris Bassitt strikes out seven in win
Chris Bassitt struck out seven across five innings in a 5-4 win over the Pirates on Sunday. He allowed three earned runs and walked one while securing the win.

Advice: Bassitt was able to navigate nine Pirates base runners to keep just enough runs off the board and earn his sixth win of the season. This was his third straight win in as many starts as he’s put a poor April in the rear view mirror and pitched much more like the ultra-steady Bassitt we’ve come to expect. • Yimi García shaky, earns save vs. Pirates
Yimi García allowed two hits and an earned run in an uneven save against the Pirates on Sunday.

Advice: He also struck out three. Toronto went right to García with Jordan Romano back on the IL for the save. Oneil Cruz scalded a double 111.8 MPH to start the ninth inning and came around to score, but García still closed it out. He looks to be secure in the role while Romano is out. • Quinn Priester hit hard, loses again
Quinn Priester allowed four earned runs in 4 ⅔ innings on Sunday against the Blue Jays. He struck out three and surrendered eight hits in a loss.

Advice: Nothing Priester did fooled the Blue Jays in this one as they had 12 hard-hit balls and were on everything. Priester is yet to be effective as a major league pitcher and will need to find some way to complement his fantastic slider in order to do so. The loss was his fifth of the season without a win. • Brayan Bello falters late in no-decision
Brayan Bello was charged with four runs in 6 1/3 innings Sunday in a no-decision against the Tigers.

Advice: This one is on Alex Cora, who sent Bello back out for the seventh to face the top of the lineup for a fourth time even though he had given up runs in the fifth and sixth innings. Bello surrendered hits to two of the three batters he faced before being pulled, and Justin Slaten allowed both runners to score afterwards. Bello remains 6-2 with a 4.36 ERA. • Casey Mize walks four in four innings
Casey Mize surrendered three runs — two earned — and walked four in four innings Sunday against the Red Sox.

Advice: This really should have been worse, but the Red Sox went 0-for-2 stealing bases to help Mize out. It’s the third straight start in which Mize has failed to complete five innings, and his ERA sits at 4.70 after 11 starts. The Tigers aren’t going to remain patient for much longer. • Cruises to 10th save
Duran tossed a clean ninth, striking out one to pick up his 10th save of the season Sunday against the Astros.

Advice: After allowing a total of six baserunners and three unearned runs over his last three appearances totaling 2.1 innings, Duran ran into no such trouble Sunday, retiring the Astros in order to collect his 10th save in as many attempts. Though he's yet to blow a save, since making his season-debut April 30, Duran has not been as dominant with a K/9 rate of 8.4 compared with rates of 11.8 and 12.1 over his first two big-league seasons. • Enoli Paredes gets first save of the season
Enoli Paredes recorded the save on Sunday after throwing two scoreless innings in a win over the White Sox.

Advice: Paredes threw the eighth inning when the score was 4-3 Milwaukee, but the Brewers tacked on two additional runs in the bottom of the 8th, so Pat Murphy decided to keep Paredes in to finish the job. It was his first save of the season, and he should not be considered a threat to Trevor Megill’s job. However, Paredes was outstanding in Triple-A and has yet to allow a run since being recalled, so he could be a solid ratio asset in deeper fantasy leagues. Rotoworld Today, 2:01 pm
  • Allows two homers in no-decision
Woods Richardson did not factor into the decision Sunday, allowing three runs on three hits and two walks over 4.1 innings against the Astros. He struck out six.

Advice: Woods Richardson, a native of suburban Houston, was pulled after one out in the fifth prior to facing the top of the Astros lineup for the third time. It was not a bad outing for Woods Richardson, though he doubled his homers allowed for the season, allowing a solo homer to Victor Caratini in the second followed by a two-run blast by Alex Bregman in the third that accounted for each of his three runs allowed. Following a five-run blowup against Toronto on May 11, Woods Richardson had allowed only three runs over his previous three starts totaling 15 innings coming into the day and maintains a 3.05 ERA and 1.11 WHIP on the season. He's next slated to toe the rubber next weekend when the Twins travel to Pittsburgh to take on the Pirates. Rotowire.com Today, 1:57 pm
  • Simeon Woods Ricardson takes no-decision
Simeon Woods Richardson yielded three runs in 4 1/3 innings Sunday against the Astros.

Advice: Woods Richardson gave up homers to Victor Caratini and Alex Bregman, but he allowed just one other hit in the outing before exiting after retiring the only batter he faced in the fifth. Woods Richardson has been quite good in compiling a 3.05 ERA for the Twins, but this makes four times in nine starts that he hasn’t been given the chance to complete five innings. It’s part of why he’s just 2-0 while the Twins have gone 7-2 in his starts. Rotoworld Today, 1:21 pm
