• Tim Anderson goes 0-for-4 in loss to Dodgers
Tim Anderson went 0-for-4 against the Dodgers on Tuesday, dropping his average to .203.

Advice: It was worth seeing if Anderson might bounce back from his awful 2023, but he’s been even worse in 35 games this year. In 118 plate appearances, he has three extra-base hits, six walks and 37 strikeouts. His contact numbers are horrible, and he’s not making hard contact when he does hit the ball. He’s also not very good defensively at this stage of his career. Otto Lopez wouldn’t be more than a placeholder for the Marlins, but he has to be better than Anderson right now. • Edward Cabrera exits with biceps discomfort
Edward Cabrera surrendered four runs in two innings before leaving Tuesday’s game with right biceps discomfort.

Advice: It was assumed his early exit was because of his struggles in walking four and giving up a grand slam, but the Marlins revealed the injury after the game. He’ll presumably return to the IL with the recurring issue. At least the Marlins are getting Jesús Luzardo and Braxton Garrett back. Rotoworld 45 minutes ago

  • Exits with biceps issue
Cabrera was removed from his start Tuesday against the Dodgers due to right biceps discomfort, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Cabrera's biceps have given him problems numerous times across the past three seasons, though it's not immediately apparent how severe his latest flare-up is. He was only able to get through two innings before coming out of Tuesday's game, allowing one hit -- a Max Muncy grand slam -- in the process. Rotowire.com 45 minutes ago

  • Hits homer, sac fly
Haniger went 1-for-4 with a solo home run and an additional RBi during Tuesday's 10-6 win over Minnesota.

Advice: Haniger got the Mariners on the board in the second inning, tagging Bailey Ober for a long ball to lead off the frame. The homer could be what Haniger needs to break the slump he's currently in, batting 7-for-56 (.125) with a 35.6 percent K rate since April 20. Rotowire.com 47 minutes ago

  • Clubs grand slam off bench
Raleigh went 1-for-1 with a grand slam and an additional run scored during Tuesday's 10-6 win over the Twins.

Advice: Raleigh replaced Seby Zavala in the seventh innings and came to the plate with the bases loaded and the Mariners down two. He delivered his first career grand slam to give Seattle the lead and score Mitch Garver, Luis Urias and Dylan Moore. Raleigh reached via walk in his other plate appearance and eventually came around to score on a sac fly by Mitch Haniger. In 32 games, Raleigh has swatted nine home runs and owns a .769 OPS. • Allows three hits in no-decision
Ober didn't factor into the decision Tuesday, allowing three hits and one walk over five innings against the Mariners. He struck out seven.

Advice: Although Ober wasn't credited with the win, he allowed three or fewer hits for the fifth time in his last six appearances. Both runs against him came in the second, when Mitch Haniger swatted a leadoff homer and Luis Urias scored from first on a Dylan Moore double. After a hideous eight-run, 1.1-inning start to kick off the regular season, Ober has been outstanding, with a 2.55 ERA and a 34:7 K:BB across 35.1 innings. He's tentatively scheduled to close out a two-start week Sunday at Toronto. Rotowire.com 59 minutes ago

  • Suffers knee injury
Saucedo left Tuesday's game against the Twins due to a knee injury, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.

Advice: While running to cover first base on a ground ball during the eighth inning, Saucedo seemed to jam his right leg on the bag before crumbling to the ground in pain and grabbing his knee. The Mariners have yet to reveal the nature of the injury, but manager Scott Servais said the left-hander will be sidelined for "a while." Saucedo has been used primarily in middle relief this season, logging a 2.70 ERA and 1.13 WHIP across 13.1 innings. Rotowire.com Today, 9:36 pm
  • Tayler Saucedo suffers knee injury on play at first
Tayler Saucedo left Tuesday’s game in the eighth inning with a right knee injury.

Advice: Saucedo unfortunately slipped on first base while running to cover and trying to avoid a diving Austin Martin and was in a great deal of pain afterwards. He’ll surely land on the IL, which could lead to a promotion for Sammy Peralta. Rotoworld Today, 8:10 pm
  • Mitch Haniger hits fifth homer of season in win
Mitch Haniger went 1-for-4 with a home run and two RBI in the Mariners’ win over the Twins on Tuesday.

Advice: Haniger’s solo blast in the second inning put the Mariners on the board first, and has now hit safely in three-straight games. He would later hit a sacrifice fly in the ninth inning to give the Mariners an 8-6 lead in a game that went back-and-forth throughout the night. The veteran right fielder has struggled to get on base this season and is now slashing .215/.273/.372 on the year. While he remains good for the occasional homer, batting in an offense that ranks near the bottom of the league in runs scored doesn’t give him much upside at this time. Rotoworld Today, 8:03 pm
