    The Astros recalled Loperfido from Triple-A Sugar Land on Friday, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.

    Advice: Kyle Tucker landed on the injured list earlier Friday due to a bruised shin, so Loperfido will return to Houston to fill the opening in the Astros' outfield group. The 25-year-old played in 14 games for the Astros earlier in the season, slashing .333/.381/.436 with five RBI through 43 plate appearances before being sent back down May 26.     Logan Webb pitched the Giants past the Rangers with seven innings of two-run ball on Friday.

    Advice: Webb’s peripherals aren’t up to par, but tonight will help. He struck out six while walking none, and all five hits he allowed should have been singles (Wyatt Langford turned one into a double with his speed).     Advice: Doval was pitching for the first time since giving up four runs in a blown save and a loss to the Yankees on Sunday.     Michael Lorenzen surrendered two runs in 4 1/3 innings versus the Giants on Friday.

    Advice: Lorenzen left down 2-0, but the Rangers let him off the hook in the bottom of fifth before going to lose 5-2. It’s the first time in 10 starts this year that Lorenzen has failed to complete five innings and just the second time he hasn’t gone six.     Advice: Flores likely only started tonight because of his grand slam off a lefty Thursday, and he wound up hitting his first two homers off a right-hander this season; he came into the game batting ,217./.309/.353 in 97 PA versus righties.     Bassitt allowed a run on four hits and two walks while striking out seven over eight innings in a no-decision versus the Athletics on Friday.

    Advice: Bassitt tamed one of his former teams, but reliever Chad Green gave up a walk-off hit in the ninth inning. In his longest outing of the year, Bassitt threw 71 of 102 pitches for strikes. He's limited opponents to one run or fewer in five of his 13 starts this season, pitching to a 3.80 ERA, 1.38 WHIP and 70:28 K:BB through 73.1 innings.     Miller (1-0) struck out two in a perfect inning to earn the win Friday over the Blue Jays.

    Advice: The win was Miller's first in the majors, which came in his 32nd career appearance. He kept the game tied at 1-1 in the top of the ninth inning before JJ Bleday swatted a walk-off solo home run in the Athletics' half of the frame. While Miller's been scored on in three of his last six outings, he's still sporting a 2.20 ERA, 0.87 WHIP and 54:11 K:BB through 28.2 innings this season.   • Report: Astros call up Loperfido to replace Tucker
    Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports that the Astros will call up Joey Loperfido from Triple-A Sugar Land prior to Saturday’s game against the Angels.

    Advice: Loperfido will replace Kyle Tucker, as Tucker was placed on the injured list prior to Friday’s game versus the Halos due to a shin contusion. Loperfido is considered one of the better hitting prospects in the Houston system, and he more than held his own in his previous stint with the Astros with a slash of .333/.381/.436 over 14 games.
