      Profar went 2-for-5 with a solo home run and a three-run double in Friday's 10-3 win over the Diamondbacks.

      Advice: Profar went back-to-back with Fernando Tatis in the first inning and then added a three-run double in the eighth as part of a five-run inning. Through seven games in June, Profar has gone 7-for-25 (.280) with three extra-base hits and a 3:6 BB:K. The outfielder is only slightly cooling off from his impressive first two months -- he's now at a .325/.418/.496 slash line with nine homers, 42 RBI, 35 runs scored and four stolen bases over 67 contests.       Crochet (5-4) yielded two runs (one earned) on three hits and two walks over six innings Friday, striking out 10 and earning a win over the Red Sox.

      Advice: Crochet gave up a pair of runs in the third inning but only one was earned due to his own throwing error. He's produced quality starts in four straight appearances and six of his last seven. Crochet generated 17 whiffs and racked up double-digit strikeouts for the fourth time this season. Since April 29, he's produced a ridiculous 1.37 ERA with a 63:9 K:BB in eight starts. Crochet will carry a 3.33 ERA into his next start, which is expected to be in Seattle next week.     • Garrett Crochet fans 10 as White Sox snap skid
      Garrett Crochet yielded two runs — one earned — and struck out 10 in six innings as the White Sox defeated the Red Sox 7-2 to snap a 14-game losing streak.

      Advice: The White Sox’s previous win also, not coincidentally, came in a Crochet start on May 21. He has six of the White Sox’s 16 victories on the year.     • Dealing with oblique tightness
      Suzuki said after Friday's game versus the Reds that he asked to be removed in the sixth inning after feeling tightness in his oblique, Meghan Montemurro of the Chicago Tribune reports.

      Advice: Suzuki was hit in the side by a throw while stealing a base in the first inning, and he was checked on by trainers after appearing uncomfortable at the plate in the fifth frame. He later was replaced in right field by Mike Tauchman -- a precautionary move given Suzuki's recent history with oblique injuries.     • Suzuki felt oblique tighten before leaving Friday
      Seiya Suzuki left Friday’s game as a precaution due to tightness in his oblique.

      Advice: Suzuki has dealt with oblique strains in the past and missed time in 2024 due to one, so the Cubs decided to be as careful as possible when he felt it tighten after being hit in the side.       Kyle Finnegan tossed a scoreless ninth inning and picked up the save against the Braves on Friday.

    • Irvin throws six scoreless innings in win Friday
      Jake Irvin threw six shutout innings and got the win in the Nationals’ 2-1 victory over the Braves on Friday.



      Advice: Irvin gave up four hits, walked two and struck out four. The win was his fourth of the season. Irvin has allowed more than two earned runs in only one of his last eight starts. His ERA is down to 3.12 and he has a SO:BB of 64:14 in 75 innings. Irvin has been consistently good this season and it’s mostly supported by a 3.56 xFIP.     • Implodes vs. Brewers
      Olson (1-7) took the loss Friday against Milwaukee, allowing eight runs on 12 hits and a walk over four innings. He struck out six.

      Advice: It was a brutal night for Olson, who was tagged for a career-high eight runs. The 24-year-old right-hander has now allowed 13 runs over 9.1 innings in his last two outings after holding opponents to one earned run or fewer in each of his previous six outings. Overall, Olson sports a 3.43 ERA with a 1.20 WHIP and 58:22 K:BB across 65.2 innings. Olson did allow three doubles and a triple to Milwaukee. He struck out three in the first inning, but then allowed five runs in the second inning and it was downhill from there.
