    • Justin Steele allows three over six against MIL
Justin Steele allowed three runs in six innings of work in a no-decision versus the Brewers on Saturday.

Advice: Once again, Steele wasn’t able to pick up a win, and he remains without a W in the 2024 campaign. He allowed seven hits in this outing while not issuing a walk and striking out five. While the lack of wins is frustrating, it’s more an example of how flawed the stat is, as he’s pitched well in 2024 with a 3.20 ERA and 70/16 K/BB over 70 1/3 innings. Steele’s next chance to grab a victory is scheduled for Friday against the Angels. Rotoworld 8 minutes ago

    • Allows three runs in no-decision
Cannon did not factor into the decision in Saturday's 11-3 win over the Rockies, allowing three runs on three hits and one walk with three strikeouts over 5.2 innings.

Advice: Cannon surrendered a solo home run to Brendan Rodgers in the second inning and a two-run homer to Nolan Jones in the fifth. He departed before the White Sox erupted for 11 runs, but it was nice to see the rookie rebound with a solid effort after allowing eight runs (five earned) in one inning June 23. On the season, the 23-year-old owns a 4.62 ERA, 1.31 WHIP and 32:7 K:BB through 39 innings and lines up to face the Marlins next week. Rotowire.com 8 minutes ago

    • Andujar singles in loss at Arizona
Miguel Andujar went 1-for-4 against the Diamondbacks on Saturday.

Advice: It was a quiet afternoon for the Athletics’ offense. Andujar is hitting .315 on the season, but his lack of power is staggering. He has an .098 ISO on the year. Andujar’s average might not be so high much longer as his BABIP is .349 despite a career .299 BABIP. His 12 percent strikeout percentage is in a good spot, but we’ve been down this road with Andujar before and he’s more of a .250 hitter with middling power. Rotoworld 12 minutes ago
    • Allows three homers in loss
Quantrill (6-6) took the loss against the White Sox on Saturday, allowing five runs on seven hits and no walks with eight strikeouts over 5.1 innings.

Advice: Quantrill opened with four scoreless innings before allowing a two-run home run to Lenyn Sosa in the fifth. He had a rough sixth frame, surrendering a solo homer to Luis Robert Jr. and a two-run shot to Paul DeJong before being pulled at 90 pitches. This was the first time Quantrill didn't walk a batter in an start since May 3, but he was burned by the long ball and has now yielded 11 earned runs over his last three outings. On the season, the 29-year-old owns a 3.78 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and 72:34 K:BB over 95.1 innings and lines up to face the Brewers next week. Rotowire.com 15 minutes ago
    • Marte has three-hit game in win against Oakland
Ketel Marte went 3-for-4 with a walk and an RBI against the Athletics on Saturday.

Advice: Marte started the scoring with an RBI single in the second inning. He has a hit in five of his last six games. In that time, he’s 10-for-22 (.454) with two home runs and seven RBI. On the season, Marte is hitting .290 with an .877 OPS and 49 RBI. Rotoworld 18 minutes ago

    • Sewald picks up 11th save against Athletics
Paul Sewald tossed a scoreless ninth inning and picked up the save against the Athletics on Saturday.

Advice: Sewald’s save was his 11th of the season. He retired the Athletics in order in the ninth inning while recording one strikeout. Sewald hasn’t been scored on in his last 16 appearances this year. Rotoworld 23 minutes ago

    • Jonathan Cannon surrenders three runs in no-decision
Jonathan Cannon allowed three runs with three strikeouts over 5 2/3 innings in a no-decision against the Rockies on Saturday.

Advice: Cannon served up a solo homer to Brendan Rodgers in the second inning, then a two run shot to Nolan Jones in the fifth. He recorded the first two outs in the sixth before a base hit would end his day. He struck out three. The 23-year-old right-hander will take a 4.62 ERA, 1.31 WHIP, and a 32/7 K/BB ratio across 39 innings into a matchup against the Marlins in Miami on Friday. Rotoworld Today, 1:52 pm

    • Cal Quantrill serves up three homers in loss to White Sox
Cal Quantrill allowed five runs with eight strikeout over 5 1/3 innings in a loss to the White Sox on Saturday.

Advice: Quantrill was cruising through four inning, allowing just two baserunners into the fifth. Things unraveled quickly. Lenyn Sosa took him deep for a two-run shot to put the White Sox on the board. Luis Robert Jr. followed with a solo homer to lead off the sixth. Then Paul Delong put Chicago ahead with a two-run blast that would knock Quantrill from the game with one out in the sixth. The 29-year-old right-hander will take a 3.78 ERA, 1.30 WHIP, and a 72/34 K/BB ratio across 95 1/3 innings into a start against the Brewers in Colorado on Thursday. Rotoworld Today, 1:52 pm
