    • Kodai Senga shut down after latest setback
Kodai Senga (shoulder) will be shut down for the next three-to-five days due to inflammation in his triceps.

Advice: The 31-year-old right-hander had been scheduled to throw a bullpen session on Friday, but that was scrapped due to the new issue. It has seemingly been one setback after another for Senga as he has attempted to come back from his shoulder injury. There’s no clear timetable as to when he may finally ready to make his 2024 season debut. Rotoworld 18 minutes ago

    • Back from illness, starting Friday
Maeda (illness) was reinstated from the 15-day injured list and will start Friday against the Blue Jays.

Advice: Maeda was previously expected to rejoin Detroit's rotation Saturday or Sunday, but he'll instead take the mound Friday. The right-handed veteran has started seven games this season and has a 1-1 record with a 6.75 ERA, 1.40 WHIP and 23:10 K:BB over 30.2 innings. Rotowire.com Today, 12:18 pm

    • Maeda activated, to start Friday
Tigers activated RHP Kenta Maeda from the 15-day injured list on Friday.

Advice: Maeda will start Friday’s game against the Blue Jays with Matt Manning optioned to Triple-A Toledo. Maeda is returning from a 15-day stint on the injured list with a viral illness. He has a 6.75 ERA and 1.40 WHIP in seven starts with Detroit this year. Rotoworld Today, 12:14 pm

    • Stays hot in Thursday's win
Bichette went 3-for-5 with a run scored and an RBI in Thursday's win over the Tigers.

Advice: All three knocks were singles, but they continued a hot streak for Bichette that has seen him reel off multiple hits in three of the last four games and five of the last nine. Since May 8, the All-Star shortstop is slashing .380/.426/.580 with four doubles, two homers, one steal, six runs and nine RBI in 13 contests. Rotowire.com Today, 7:41 am

    • Locks down 12th save
Iglesias struck out two in a perfect inning to earn the save in Thursday's 3-0 win over the Cubs.

Advice: Iglesias has converted his last four save chances since a blown save May 3 versus the Dodgers. He's allowed two runs on five hits and two walks over his last six innings, so it hasn't been the smoothest of stretches for the veteran closer. On the year, he's 12-for-14 in save chances with a 2.33 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and 14:5 K:BB over 19.1 innings. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 6:13 pm
    • Raisel Iglesias fans two Thursday for 12th save
Raisel Iglesias fired a perfect ninth inning on Thursday against the Cubs to collect his 12th save of the season.

Advice: Iglesias received the call to protect a three-run lead in the final frame and required just 12 pitches (nine strikes) to end it. The 34-year-old veteran stopper has been one of the top closers in the entire fantasy landscape this season, converting 12 of 14 save chances to accompany a solid 2.33 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and 14/5 K/BB ratio across 19 1/3 innings (20 appearances). • Bryan Reynolds has three hits, homer in defeat
Bryan Reynolds went 3-for-5 with a homer in a loss Thursday to the Giants.

Advice: Reynolds hit one of three homers for the Pirates on Thursday. The 29-year-old also singled twice to push his average to .260 with a .772 OPS. Reynolds should continue to see those numbers climb as we get deeper into the season based on his track record. Rotoworld Yesterday, 12:55 pm

    • Rare multi-hit effort Wednesday
Gelof went 2-for-5 with a game-tying RBI single in an extra-innings loss to the Rockies on Wednesday.

Advice: After knotting the game at 2-2 in the bottom of the ninth with his timely knock, Gelof also drove in Shea Langeliers during the 12th but didn't get credited with an RBI since it was a double-play groundout. Nevertheless, Gelof did extend his on-base streak to four games with his multi-hit effort, his first since April 21. Despite the recent modest success, Gelof's slash line sits at a paltry .192/.260/.308 across 132 plate appearances, with a strikeout rate that's shot up from a rookie figure of 27.3 percent to 34.1 percent partly to blame for his struggles. • TJ Friedl hopes to take batting practice soon
According to The Enquirer’s Charlie Goldsmith, TJ Friedl (broken thumb) “continues to progress” and hopes to take “batting practice soon.”

Advice: TJ Friedl is back to hitting off flips as he works back from a broken thumb. Once he is able to take batting practice, his next step will likely be live at-bats and a rehab assignment. It’s possible that he could be back around mid-June but it will depend on how his thumb feels while taking live swings. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:15 am
