    • Drives in two, steals a bag
Yelich went 2-for-4 with two RBI and a stolen base in Saturday's win over the Tigers

Advice: Yelich got the scoring started in this one, driving in Brice Turang with a single in the first inning. He came up with the bases loaded in the third and drove in another run on a sacrifice fly. He later added an infield single and a stolen base in the fifth. The former MVP has six multi-hit games over his last 15 games and his hitting .362 over that stretch. He has six homers, 29 RBI and 10 stolen bases through 38 games thus far. • Stuck with tough loss Saturday
Woods Richardson (2-1) took the loss Saturday as the Twins were downed 4-0 by the Pirates, allowing one run on six hits over 6.1 innings. He struck out six.

Advice: The right-hander put together one of his best performances of the season, blanking the Bucs until serving up a solo shot to Rowdy Tellez in the seventh inning, but Woods Richardson got no run support at all. He recorded 17 swinging strikes among 97 pitches en route to his third quality starts among 10 trips to the mound in the majors this season. Woods Richardson will take a 2.84 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and 42:11 K:BB through 50.2 innings into his next outing, which lines up to come at home next week against the A's. Rotowire.com 51 minutes ago
    • Throws on flat ground, bullpen next
Gallen (hamstring) threw a flat-ground session Saturday and is expected to throw a bullpen soon, Jesse Friedman of GoPHNX.com reports.

Advice: Gallen was cleared for throwing June 3 and was able to complete a flat-ground session Saturday. The next box for Gallen to check in his recovery from a right hamstring strain would be a bullpen, which should occur in the coming days. Gallen will be eligible to return from the injured list June 15, though it's unclear if he'll be ready by then. Rotowire.com Today, 5:18 pm

    • Zac Gallen (hamstring) throws off of flat ground
Zac Gallen (hamstring) threw off of flat ground without any issues on Saturday.

Advice: As long as he rebounds fine from that session, he’ll be cleared to throw a bullpen session. Gallen has been shelved since May 31 due to a Grade 1 right hamstring strain. It remains unclear if he’ll require a minor league rehab start or not before rejoining the Diamondbacks’ rotation. Rotoworld Today, 5:04 pm

    • Christian Yelich plates two runs to lead Brewers
Christian Yelich went 2-for-4 and drove in a pair of runs on Saturday afternoon, propelling the Brewers to a 5-4 victory over the Tigers in Motown.

Advice: Yelich opened the scoring in the ballgame with an RBI single off of Casey Mize that plated Brice Turang in the first inning. He then drove in another run with a sacrifice fly in the fifth inning. Yelich also reached on an infield single in the fifth inning and swiped second base, but the Brewers couldn’t cash him in. With his two-hit attack, the dynamic 32-year-old outfielder is now hitting .333/.414/.532 with six homers, 29 RBI and 10 stolen bases in what has been an impressive all-around season. • Strikes out season-high eight
Marsh (5-3) got the win vs the Mariners on Saturday. He went five innings, giving up four runs on seven hits while striking out eight.

Advice: Marsh gave up a leadoff homer to J.P. Crawford but would settle in nicely, as he retired the next 13 batters in order. He struck out eight of those 13 hitters, which is a new season high and three away from his career high. Marsh ran into trouble in the fifth and wound up allowing four runs before being pulled, his third straight outing in which he's given up at least four earned runs. His ERA has gone from 2.72 to 4.05 over his last three starts, but he remains a key piece of the Royals' revitalized rotation this season. Rotowire.com Today, 4:01 pm

    • Simeon Woods Richardson takes loss vs. Pirates
Simeon Woods Richardson allowed one run with six strikeouts over 6 1/3 innings in a loss to the Pirates on Saturday.

Advice: Woods Richardson was excellent on Saturday despite taking a tough-luck loss as the Twins were unable to give him any run support. He scattered five hits over six scoreless innings, striking out six batters with no walks allowed. Rowdy Tellez would finally get to him in the seventh, launching a solo homer to break the scoreless game. The 23-year-old right-hander has produced a 2.84 ERA, 1.09 WHIP, and a 42/11 K/BB ratio across 50 2/3 innings. He’ll take on the Athletics in Minnesota on Thursday. Rotoworld Today, 3:58 pm
    • Marsh allows four runs, strikes out eight vs. M’s
Alec Marsh gave up four runs in five-plus innings while striking out eight Saturday against the Mariners while being credited with a win.

Advice: Marsh, 26, gave up seven hits without issuing a walk. The first pitch he threw was hit over the fence by J.P. Crawford, but he settled down nicely over the next few innings while taking advantage of Seattle’s swing-and-miss issues. He did struggle in the fifth before being pulled, but the stuff was better than this line suggests. Marsh has streaming appeal, but that appeal doesn’t apply to a scheduled start next week against the Yankees. Rotoworld Today, 3:34 pm

    • Battling back soreness
Marte was scratched from Arizona's lineup Saturday due to lower-back soreness, Jody Jackson of Bally Sports Arizona reports.

Advice: Marte appeared to tweak something in his back during Friday's contest, and he'll sit down Saturday as a precaution. He is available off the bench, however, so his injury likely isn't a major issue. Blaze Alexander will start at second base and bat sixth. Rotowire.com Today, 2:43 pm
