      Wacha (foot) struck out six over four scoreless innings in his first rehab start with the Royals' Arizona Complex League affiliate Monday.

      Advice: Manager Matt Quatraro said prior to the outing that Wacha might need just the one rehab start before rejoining the major-league rotation this weekend against the Rangers. Given how well he pitched, it seems safe to assume that Wacha will indeed be back this weekend, either on Saturday or Sunday.       Michael Wacha (foot) hurled four scoreless innings in a rehab start Monday at in the Arizona Complex League.

      Advice: Wacha allowed two hits and struck out six. The right-hander was placed on the injured list just before the start of June with a fractured foot, and is continuing to build back his arm strength in hope of making a return to the Royals by the end of the month.       Albies went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Monday's win over the Tigers.

      Advice: The second baseman belted the game-winning homer in the eighth inning off Shelby Miller in a 2-1 victory, giving Atlanta its only lead of the night. The long ball was only the fifth of the year for Albies, and the 27-year-old has had trouble finding any rhythm at the plate in June, slashing .206/.227/.397 over 15 games this month.       Alvarez went 3-for-5 with a run scored and two RBI in Monday's win against Texas.

      Advice: Alvarez singled and scored in the fifth inning before delivering RBI base hits in the sixth and eighth frames. He entered Monday's game in a 2-for-14 (.143) slump since returning from the injured list. Alvarez produced his first multi-hit game since April 11.       Advice: Nimmo knocked RBI singles in the second and fifth innings but most of his damage came in the fourth inning when he ripped a two-run homer. It was his second straight three-hit game and fourth consecutive appearance with multiple hits. That hot streak has bumped Nimmo's OPS from .708 to .756.       Advice: After serving up homers in each of his last two appearances, Bednar got back on track with a clean frame Monday. Bednar had a disastrous start to the season with 14 earned runs allowed in his first 13 outings, but he's turned it around with a 1.88 ERA over his last 19.1 innings.       Kikuchi (4-6) allowed five runs on seven hits over four innings Monday, striking out seven and taking a loss against Boston.

      Advice: Kikuchi was cursed by the long ball Monday, coughing up four solo shots in the first three innings. Tyler O'Neill accounted for two of them, including in the first inning when he went back-to-back with Rafael Devers. Kikuchi had allowed just four home runs over his previous six starts entering Monday and had not given up multiple long balls in any start this season.
