    • Luis Robert Jr. getting a night off on Wednesday
Luis Robert Jr. is not in the White Sox’ starting lineup for Wednesday evening’s tilt against the Mariners.

Advice: The White Sox have been careful as they ease their 26-year-old superstar back into action after missing nearly two months with a hip injury. He’ll presumably be available off the bench in this one. On the season, he’s slashing just .182/.237/.491 to go along with five homers, eight RBI and one swipe in his first 14 games. • Departs with groin injury Tuesday
O'Hoppe was removed from Tuesday's loss to the Diamondbacks after taking a foul ball to the groin area, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.

Advice: O'Hoppe writhed on the ground in pain for a few minutes after being struck by the foul ball in the sixth inning. He was eventually able to walk off the field with trainers but still appeared to be feeling the effects of the impact. It's not yet clear how much time -- if any -- the backstop will need to miss. • Racks up three hits in loss
Burleson went 3-for-4 in Tuesday's 2-1 loss to the Pirates.

Advice: There wasn't much for the hitters early in this contest, but Burleson was able to account for two of the five runs on Pittsburgh starter Paul Skenes' line. Through 10 games in June, Burleson is batting .286 (12-for-42) with five extra-base hits. He continues to be consistent for the Cardinals with a .283/.314/.455 slash line, nine home runs, 24 RBI, 20 runs scored and two stolen bases over 58 contests this season. Four of his homers have come in June. Rotowire.com Today, 12:10 am
    • Produces lone run
Gorman went 1-for-4 with a solo home run during Tuesday's 2-1 loss to the Pirates.

Advice: Neither team scored a run in the first eight innings of Tuesday's contest, with the Pirates scoring a pair of runs in the top of the ninth. Down 2-0, Gorman tried to kick-start a Cardinals comeback, leading off with a solo homer, but St. Louis couldn't plate the game-tying run. Since the start of June, Gorman is 10-for-38 (.263) with five homers, eight RBI and seven runs scored. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:52 pm

    • Hangs on for save
Bednar picked up the save Tuesday against St. Louis, allowing a solo home run and a walk with two strikeouts during the ninth inning.

Advice: Bednar took the mound with the Pirates ahead by two and yielded a homer to Nolan Gorman to kick off the ninth. While he retired Nolan Arenado and Brendan Donovan back-to-back, Bednar walked Jose Fermin and a catcher's interference put runners on first and second. However, Bednar avoided disaster, striking out Mike Siani to complete his 14th save. Although he owns a 5.40 ERA, Bednar ranks eighth in saves and owns a 30:7 K:BB across 28.1 innings. • Yields one run Tuesday
Vasquez allowed one run on seven hits and two walks while striking out five over five innings in a no-decision versus the Athletics on Tuesday.

Advice: Vasquez's first pitch of the game was deposited over the center-field wall by Abraham Toro. Beyond that, Vasquez was able to settle in for a fine start. The right-hander has allowed seven runs over 16.2 innings across his three outings in June. For the season, he has a 4.93 ERA, 1.51 WHIP and 26:7 K:BB over eight starts, but it appears he's gotten more comfortable the longer he stays in the majors. Vasquez is tentatively projected for a tough road outing versus the Phillies his next time out. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:56 pm
    • Logan O’Hoppe (groin) listed as day-to-day
Logan O’Hoppe said a major injury has been ruled out after he took a foul ball to the groin area during Tuesday’s game.

Advice: O’Hoppe was still hurting after the game, but it sounds like there’s a chance he could be ready to go on Wednesday. If not, Matt Thaiss will start. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:26 pm
    • Randy Vásquez solid for five against Athletics
Randy Vásquez pitched five innings of one-run ball against the A’s on Tuesday.

Advice: Vásquez left with a two-run lead, but that was blown by Enyel De Los Santos in the eighth. Still, the Padres went on to prevail in the ninth, winning for just the second time in Vásquez’s eight starts this year. He’s due to pitch in Philadelphia next, so it’ll be best to avoid him then. • Removed with back tightness
Ward was removed from Tuesday's game against Arizona due to lower-back tightness.

Advice: The Angels described Ward's removal as precautionary, so it's unlikely he's dealing with a serious injury. The 30-year-old outfielder had gone 2-for-2 with a solo home run, an RBI double and a walk before leaving in the eighth inning, and he's now slashing .253/.331/.452 with 12 homers and 36 RBI on the season.
