    • Slugs ninth homer
Chisholm went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's loss to the Guardians.

Advice: The center fielder took Carlos Carrasco deep to lead off the fourth inning and get the Marlins on the board. Chisholm isn't making consistent contact, but he's on pace for career highs in the counting stats, and over the last 12 games he's slashing .250/.284/.469 with three of his nine homers and three of his 12 steals on the season. • Scores three runs in win
Duran went 1-for-4 with a walk, a stolen base and three runs scored in Sunday's 6-4 extra-inning win over the White Sox.

Advice: Duran, who had gone 14 days without a steal, posted a third straight game with a stolen base, including two Saturday. The outfielder has put himself in position to make an impact lately, going 11-for-33 with six walks (.425 OBP), four steals and 10 runs scored over the last eight contests. • Swipes eighth bag
Springer went 1-for-4 with a run scored and a stolen base in Sunday's extra-inning win over the A's.

Advice: The veteran outfielder stole his eighth bag of the year but his first since May 15, snapping a 19-game drought on the basepaths. Springer is showing signs of life at the plate as well -- over his last 12 games, he's slashing .268/.400/.439 with two homers, four RBI and 11 runs. He's been consistently hitting lower in the order during that stretch, anywhere from fifth to seventh, and with rookie Spencer Horwitz currently getting a look as a table-setter, Springer likely won't return to a more prominent spot in the lineup any time soon. • Poised for weekend return
Flaherty (back) is expected to make his next start during the Tigers' three-game series in Houston that begins Friday, MLB.com reports.

Advice: Flaherty was forced out of his most recent start against the Rangers this past Tuesday, when he tossed five scoreless innings before being lifted on account of back tightness. The right-hander downplayed his injury when he addressed the media after the game and said that he expected to make his next start in Tuesday's series opener versus the Nationals, but the Tigers have since elected to err on the side of caution and give Flaherty a few extra days to recover. Detroit will take advantage of Monday's off day to reshuffle the rotation, with Kenta Maeda, Reese Olson and Casey Mize picking up starts Tuesday through Thursday before Flaherty and ace Tarik Skubal start the first two games of the series in Houston in some order. Though Flaherty looks like he won't be operating under any restrictions against the Astros after playing catch Friday and throwing a bullpen session Sunday without issue, the change in the pitching order means that he'll miss out on a two-start week. • Strong rehab start
Scherzer (back/arm) allowed one hit and one walk while striking out five over four scoreless innings in a rehab start for Triple-A Round Rock on Sunday.

Advice: Scherzer restarted a rehab assignment after experiencing a setback late in April. He cruised through 53 pitches (37 strikes), induced 14 whiffs, and registered a fastball velocity of 94.8 mph, per Kennedi Landry of MLB.com. Rotowire.com Today, 6:29 am

    • Strikes out 12 in loss
Glasnow (6-5) took the loss Sunday against the Dodgers, allowing five runs on eight hits and a walk while striking out 12 in six innings.

Advice: Nearly all the damage against Glasnow came via the long ball. The Yankees opened up the scoring with a solo home run in the third and tacked on an additional run before the inning ended. Trent Grisham later slugged a three-run blast in the sixth to put the Yankees up 5-3 and they would not relinquish the lead from there. The eight hits allowed tied Glasnow's season high and he's now given up at least a home run in five of his last six starts though it was also his fifth time striking out at least 10 hitters. The 30-year-old will carry a 3.24 ERA, 0.94 WHIP and 116:24 K:BB (86 innings) into his next start, which projects to be against the Royals over the weekend. Rotowire.com Today, 3:27 am
    • Tyler Glasnow strikes out 12 in loss to Yankees
Tyler Glasnow had mixed results in Sunday night’s loss to the Yankees, giving up five runs on eight hits over his six innings of work.

Advice: On the plus side for fantasy managers, Glasnow piled up 12 strikeouts on the night while issuing just one free pass. Nearly all of the damage done against him came via the long ball, with Oswaldo Cabrera belting a solo shot in the third inning and Trent Grisham slugging a go-ahead three-run shot in the sixth. The 30-year-old hurler got a whopping 22 swings and misses in the ballgame — 12 on his slider alone — while registering an elite CSW of 40 percent. He’ll look to bounce back as he brings a 3.24 ERA, 0.94 WHIP and a 116/24 K/BB ratio (86 innings) over Saturday’s matchup against the Royals. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:56 pm
    • Struggles in no-decision
Ober escaped with a no-decision Sunday against Pittsburgh, allowing four earned runs on seven hits and two walks while striking out five over 4.2 innings.

Advice: Ober did not allow a home run for the first time since May 12, but his recent struggles continued. The right-hander yielded three extra-base hits Sunday and has now given up multiple earned runs in five consecutive starts. During that span, the 28-year-old has limped to a 7.61 ERA and a 1.76 WHIP in 23.2 innings. Ober will look to bounce back in his next start, currently scheduled for next weekend versus Oakland. • Blows second save
Alvarado (1-3) suffered the loss Sunday, allowing three runs (two earned) on two hits and two walks over two-thirds of an inning against the Mets. He struck out two.

Advice: Alvarado entered the game with a one-run lead looking to preserve his 12th save, but things went downhill quickly. After allowing a walk and a single to start the inning, an infield single by Mark Vientos tied the game. Then with the bases loaded and one out, a hit-by-pitch followed by a passed ball allowed two more runners to score, saddling Alvarado with his second blown save and third loss of the season. Sunday's outing came on the heels of five consecutive scoreless appearances since his last blown save, which came May 24 in Colorado. The outing lifted Alvarado's ERA to 3.54 with a 1.14 WHIP and 31 strikeouts through 28 innings this season. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 2:59 pm
