    • Brady Singer spins 5 1/3 frames to defeat Brewers
Brady Singer yielded one run over 5 1/3 innings on Wednesday in a win over the Brewers.

Advice: Singer notched four strikeouts and also issued a pair of walks. He was lifted following just 89 pitches (58 strikes) after giving up a one-out single to Willy Adames in the sixth inning. He wasn’t overpowering, generating just four swingign strikes and finishing with a lackluster 26 percent CSW. The pedestrian strikeout rate means there’s some looming regression in the run-prevention department, but Singer has clearly established himself as a reliable back-end rotation option for fantasy managers. He’ll bring a solid 2.36 ERA, 1.01 WHIP and 46/15 K/BB ratio across 45 2/3 innings (eight starts) into a road tilt on Monday against the Mariners. Rotoworld 53 minutes ago

    • Martín Pérez charged with four runs versus Angels
Martín Pérez yielded four runs in five-plus innings Wednesday versus the Angels.

Advice: It was two runs through five, but Pérez allowed two singles to start the sixth and both runners came around to score off Luis Ortiz. Pérez struck out five and walked none. His 36/13 K/BB ratio in 45 innings this season is an improvement over his typical ratio, but he’s still not someone we would consider in fantasy leagues. Rotoworld Today, 12:19 pm

    • Sitting in early game Wednesday
Smith is out of the lineup for the first game of Wednesday's doubleheader with the Athletics.

Advice: The lefty-hitting Smith will hit the bench for the first game of the twin bill while the Athletics bring southpaw JP Sears to the hill. Davis Wendzel will fill in for Smith at third base. Rotowire.com Today, 11:22 am

    • Getting Wednesday off
Marte is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Cardinals, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Marte had started each of the Mets' first seven games of May, going 6-for-30 (.200 average) with one extra-base hit (a double) and one stolen base. His absence Wednesday looks to be little more than a maintenance day as the Mets and Cardinals wrap up their series with a day game after a night game. Rotowire.com Today, 9:14 am

    • Nabs ninth save
Iglesias struck out one in a perfect ninth inning Tuesday to record his ninth save of the season in a 4-2 win over the Red Sox.

Advice: The right-hander topped out at 97.1 mph as he bounced back from a blown save in his last appearance Friday. Iglesias hasn't been as dominant as usual to begin the season, managing a 10:3 K:BB through 14.1 innings, but his 1.88 ERA and 0.98 WHIP have been stellar. With his velocity finally getting back to normal as the weather warms up, more strikeouts could soon follow. Rotowire.com Today, 8:32 am
    • Moved down to sixth spot
Bichette will start at shortstop and bat sixth in Wednesday's contest in Philadelphia.

Advice: Bichette had already been dropped down in the Blue Jays' batting order in recent days, and the No. 6 spot is the lowest he has hit since August 2022. The 26-year-old is just 3-for-40 over his last 11 games to drag his season batting line down to an ugly .189/.246/.268. Rotowire.com Today, 8:29 am

    • Earns fifth consecutive start
Joe will start in right field and bat cleanup in Wednesday's game against the Angels.

Advice: Joe will be included in the lineup for the fifth game in a row, with the 31-year-old having made three starts at first base and two in right field. He should be a mainstay in the lineup against southpaws as a short-side platoon mate at first base for the lefty-hitting Rowdy Tellez, and Joe has made a strong case to see steady playing time against right-handed pitching as a corner outfielder. Joe enters Wednesday's contest with a team-best 131 wRC+ on the season, while Michael Taylor owns a 53 wRC+ and would seemingly be most at risk of moving out of a near-everyday role, despite being the Pirates' best defensive outfielder. • On base four times in win
Lowe went 2-for-4 with two walks, a double, two RBI and a run scored in Tuesday's 15-8 win over Oakland.

Advice: Lowe, who has yet to have a day off since returning from an oblique injury in mid-April, has reached base safely 15 times in 16 games. The first baseman leads the team with a .429 on-base percentage and possesses a career-high walk rate of 15.7 percent. Rotowire.com Today, 5:05 am

    • Makes season debut
Sewald allowed a run on one hit and struck out one over one inning in Tuesday's 6-2 win over the Reds.

Advice: Sewald made his season debut Tuesday in a non-save situation -- a low-key introduction after spending the first six-plus weeks on the injured list due to an oblique injury. He allowed a home run to Tyler Stephenson while mopping up in the ninth inning. Arizona manager Torey Lovullo told Steve Gilbert of MLB.com that Sewald would reclaim the closer's role from Kevin Ginkel. Rotowire.com Today, 3:50 am
