      Crawford went 1-for-4 with a grand slam and a walk in Saturday's 9-0 win over the Angels.

      Advice: The Mariners held a narrow 1-0 lead before Crawford broke things open with his fourth-inning grand slam. It was the fourth grand slam of his career and his fourth homer for Seattle this season. Each of Crawford's past four hits have gone for extra bases (three doubles, one homer).       Justin Steele allowed five runs (one earned) in five innings and got a no-decision in the Cubs’ 7-5 victory over the Reds on Saturday.



      Advice: Steele gave up seven hits, walked four and struck out five. He seemed to be turning a corner with seven shutout innings in his last start, but this was a setback for Steele. Even though most of the runs were unearned, he’s now allowed at least five runs in four of his last five starts. Steele has completed six innings in only two of his seven starts this year. His ERA was mostly spared in this one and now sits at 4.10 for the season, but when you add it all up this isn’t a recipe for winning games right now. The 28-year-old left-hander will look to improve against the Reds on the road next week.

    • Crawford hits grand slam in win Saturday
      J.P. Crawford went 1-for-4 with a grand slam against the Angels on Saturday.

      Advice: Crawford took Reid Detmers deep with the bases loaded in the fourth inning to put the Mariners up 5-0. The home run was his fourth of the season and second since coming off the injured list on May 20th. Seattle isn’t the best lineup, but Crawford regularly bats leadoff and has shown some pop recently.       Corey Seager went 3-for-5 with a walk in a win for the Rangers over the Marlins on Saturday.

      Advice: Seager doubled, singled twice and got on via the aforementioned free pass for a four-reach day. The 30-year-old now has a 14-game hitting streak, and a line of .235/.314/.333 has improved to .270/.362/.485 during that streak. The struggles are over, folks. Rotoworld Today, 5:10 pm

    • Kyle Bradish surrenders five runs in no-decision
      Kyle Bradish allowed five runs with six strikeouts over 2 2/3 innings in a no-decision against the Rays on Saturday.

      Advice: Bradish was able to work around a pair of hits in the first inning, but allowed three runs in to score in the second on three singles and a triple. Things fell apart for Bradish in the third. A wild pitch put a runner on before he walked three straight batters to bring a run in. He was replaced with two outs in the inning at 76 pitches. He struck out six. The 27-year-old right-hander will take a 3.18 ERA, 1.31 WHIP, and a 40/14 K/BB ratio across 28 1/3 innings into a start against the Blue Jays in Toronto on Thursday.       Mets manager Carlos Mendoza told reporters Saturday that Kodai Senga (shoulder) has yet to progress to a bullpen session.

      Advice: Mendoza adds that Senga is still playing light catch and there is no plan yet for him to advance to throwing off a mound.
