Tovar went 3-for-4 with a solo home run and an additional run scored in Friday's 4-1 win over the Dodgers.

Advice: Tovar was the only Rockie with multiple hits in the contest. This was his 10th multi-hit effort over his last 16 games, a span in which he's batting .356 (26-for-73) with four homers, nine RBI, 14 runs scored and one stolen base. The shortstop is up to a .294/.328/.481 slash line with eight homers, 24 RBI, 30 runs scored, four steals, 17 doubles and a triple over 55 contests this season. He still hits far better at home (.862 OPS), but he's been passable on the road this season as well with a .757 OPS away from Coors Field. Rotowire.com 18 minutes ago
    • Ezequiel Tovar picks up three hits, homers in win
Ezequiel Tovar went 3-for-4 with a solo homer in a win Friday against the Dodgers.

Advice: Tovar gave the Rockies a 4-0 lead with a solo homer in the fourth off Walker Buehler. The shortstop has homered eight times in 2024 with five of them coming in May. Tovar still needs to show a little more consistency to reach an elite level, but the talent is there for him to reach that lofty status in the coming years. Rotoworld 54 minutes ago
    • Secures 17th save
Suarez picked up the save Friday against Kansas City. He pitched one-third of an inning with no strikeouts, allowing no runs on one hit.

Advice: Suarez entered to collect the last out in a bases-loaded jam with a five-run lead. After yielding a two-RBI single to Freddy Fermin, the San Diego closer induced a Nelson Velazquez flyout to secure the win. Suarez is now tied with Emmanuel Clase for second in the majors with 17 saves, trailing Ryan Helsley by one. The 33-year-old righty has been brilliant as the Padres closer this year, firing a 0.72 ERA, 0.72 WHIP and 24:5 K:BB over 25 innings. Rotowire.com Today, 9:12 pm
    • Goes deep again
Arenado went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Friday's 4-2 loss to the Phillies.

Advice: Arenado has homered in each of his last two games. The third baseman's power numbers are still way down -- he's at five homers and a .379 slugging percentage through 53 contests -- but this could be a sign of him heating up. On the year, he's batting .257 with 26 RBI, 22 runs scored, 10 doubles and no stolen bases over 226 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Today, 9:03 pm
    • Robert Suárez gets one-out save against Royals
Robert Suárez retired one of the two batters he faced for a save Friday against the Royals.

Advice: The Padres were up 11-3 heading to the bottom of the ninth, but Stephen Kolek gave up hits to six of the eight batters he faced. That created a save situation for Suárez with the bases loaded in an 11-6 game. Suárez gave up a two-run single to the first batter he faced and then retired Nelson Velázquez for his 17th and easiest save of the year. Rotoworld Today, 9:00 pm
    • Fans seven in win
Bibee (4-1) allowed a run on three hits and a walk over 6.1 innings Friday, striking out seven and earning a win over the Nationals.

Advice: Bibee dominated in six shutout frames before Washington finally pushed home a run in the seventh. He's turned in three straight quality starts, dropping his season ERA from 4.34 to 3.74 during that span. The 25-year-old righty has allowed two or fewer runs in seven of his first 12 starts. He'll carry a 6:18 K:BB into his next start, which is expected to be at home against the Royals next week. Rotowire.com Today, 8:27 pm
    • Zac Gallen diagnosed with Grade 1 hamstring strain
Diamondbacks’ manager Torey Lovullo told reporters on Friday night that Zac Gallen was diagnosed with a Grade 1 hamstring strain.

Advice: That’s obviously good news, as Grade 1 is the least severe of the strains. The 28-year-old hurler dealt with a similar injury back in 2021 and wound up missing the minimum 15 days of action. The Diamondbacks are hopeful that he’ll face a similar timeline this time as well and that he’ll be able to return to the starting rotation in mid-June when he’s eligible. • Ceddanne Rafaela homers twice in win over Tigers
Ceddanne Rafaela crushed a pair of home runs and drove in five on Friday night, propelling the Red Sox to a lopsided 7-3 victory over the Tigers at Fenway Park.

Advice: The 23-year-old outfielder broke the game open with a 359-foot (101.0 mph) three-run shot to left off of Kenta Maeda in the fourth inning — giving the Red Sox a 4-1 lead. He added to that lead with a 375-foot (99.5 mph EV) two-run shot off of Joey Wentz in the sixth inning that made it a 7-1 ballgame. Rafaela finished the night 2-for-4 and is now hitting .211/.239/.387 to go along with seven homers and 33 RBI on the season. Rotoworld Today, 6:42 pm

    • Tanner Houck dominates in victory over Tigers
Tanner Houck delivered a dominant performance in Friday night’s victory over the Tigers, allowing just one run on three hits over seven stellar innings.

Advice: The 27-year-old hurler racked up six strikeouts on the evening while issuing a pair of free passes. The lone tally against him came on an RBI single by Gio Urshela in the opening inning. After that, the Tigers never really threatened against him. Houck got 10 swings and misses on 95 pitches on the night, posting a CSW of 32 percent. Now 5-5 on the season, he’ll carry an impressive 1.85 ERA, 0.96 WHIP and a 75/15 K/BB ratio (78 innings) into Thursday’s matchup against the White Sox in Chicago. Rotoworld Today, 6:42 pm
