    • Marcus Semien homers in win over Giants
Marcus Semien went 1-for-3 with a home run, two RBI, and two runs scored in a 7-2 win over the Giants on Sunday.

Advice: The home run was Semien’s 11th of the season to go along with 37 RBIs. He may not have the triple-slash that you expect to see from Semien, but the counting stats have been great and he is cemented into the leadoff spot for the Rangers. He’s one of the most consistent players in baseball, and so we expect the batting average and power to tick up; however, the lack of speed this season has been a bit concerning for the 33-year-old. • Scores lone run
Semien went 0-for-3 with a walk and a run scored in Saturday's 3-1 loss to San Francisco.

Advice: Semien, who had a seven-game hit streak halted, walked to lead off the bottom of the first inning and scored on a sacrifice fly. He leads the Rangers with 46 runs scored, which ranks tied for ninth in MLB. Rotowire.com Today, 6:57 am

    • Ben Lively blanks Marlins over five innings in win
Ben Lively didn’t allow a run over five innings to pick up a win over the Marlins on Saturday.

Advice: Lively only struck out one, but he was still able to keep the Marlins off the board by allowing only three hits. The only extra-base hit allowed was a double to Vidal Bruján, and outside of that it was smooth sailing for the 32-year-old. Lively now has a 6-2 record and 2.59 ERA, which absolutely everyone was predicting before the season started. The Blue Jays are scheduled for next week. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:59 pm

    • Win streak up to five
Lively (6-2) allowed three hits and struck out one without walking a batter over five shutout innings to earn the win over the Marlins on Saturday.

Advice: Lively might have had more in the tank -- he threw just 65 pitches (43 strikes) in a sharp but somewhat short outing. It was enough for his fifth straight win, and he's allowed just eight runs with a 22:6 K:BB over 28.1 innings in that span. Lively isn't dominating by most measures, as his 20.2 percent whiff rate is in the 15th percentile in the majors, per Statcast. He also averages just 90 mph between his four-seam fastball and sinker, which combine for roughly 60 percent of his pitches. Despite the poor under-the-hood metrics, he's pitched to a 2.59 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and 48:15 K:BB over 55.2 innings through 10 starts this season. Lively's next start is projected to be at Toronto. • Gives up two homers in loss
Brown (1-3) took the loss to the Reds on Saturday, allowing three runs on three hits and one walk while striking out three over four innings.

Advice: Brown gave up multiple home runs in a game for the first time in his young career. Jeimer Candelario took him deep in the first inning and then TJ Friedl got him for the go-ahead homer in the third. The rookie right-hander has now given up eight runs in his last two starts after a stellar showing of seven no-hit innings against the Brewers on May 28. Brown will take a 3.58 ERA into his next start, currently slated for next weekend against the Cardinals. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 6:52 pm

    • Stuck with tough loss Saturday
Woods Richardson (2-1) took the loss Saturday as the Twins were downed 4-0 by the Pirates, allowing one run on six hits over 6.1 innings. He struck out six.

Advice: The right-hander put together one of his best performances of the season, blanking the Bucs until serving up a solo shot to Rowdy Tellez in the seventh inning, but Woods Richardson got no run support at all. He recorded 17 swinging strikes among 97 pitches en route to his third quality starts among 10 trips to the mound in the majors this season. Woods Richardson will take a 2.84 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and 42:11 K:BB through 50.2 innings into his next outing, which lines up to come at home next week against the A's. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 5:27 pm
    • Drives in go-ahead runs
Pasquantino went 1-for-4 with a two-run double in the Royals' 8-4 win over the Mariners on Saturday.

Advice: Pasquantino broke a 3-3 tie with a two-out double in the bottom of the fifth that brought home two. It was the 26-year-old's ninth multi-RBI effort of the season and his third over his last eight games. He now has 43 RBI this season, which is second on the Royals behind Bobby Witt. Pasquantino's been a steady producer in the middle of the Royals' lineup all season and will carry a .244/.317/.433 line into Sunday's game. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 4:15 pm
    • Simeon Woods Richardson takes loss vs. Pirates
Simeon Woods Richardson allowed one run with six strikeouts over 6 1/3 innings in a loss to the Pirates on Saturday.

Advice: Woods Richardson was excellent on Saturday despite taking a tough-luck loss as the Twins were unable to give him any run support. He scattered five hits over six scoreless innings, striking out six batters with no walks allowed. Rowdy Tellez would finally get to him in the seventh, launching a solo homer to break the scoreless game. The 23-year-old right-hander has produced a 2.84 ERA, 1.09 WHIP, and a 42/11 K/BB ratio across 50 2/3 innings. He’ll take on the Athletics in Minnesota on Thursday. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:58 pm
    • Brown allows three runs in four innings Saturday
Ben Brown allowed three runs in four innings and took the loss against the Reds on Saturday.

Advice: Brown gave up three hits, walked one and struck out three. He allowed five runs in his last start, which was also against the Reds. Brown has completed five innings in only three of his eight starts for the Cubs this year. He’s still looking for his first win as a starting pitcher. Outside of his performance on May 28th against the Brewers when he went seven innings, allowed no runs and recorded 10 strikeouts, Brown’s been fairly pedestrian when starting. The 24-year-old right-hander is tentatively scheduled to face the Cardinals at home next week.
