    • Julio Rodríguez comes through in eighth in victory
Julio Rodríguez went 2-for-4 with a go-ahead single in the bottom of the eighth as the Mariners bested the Astros 4-2 on Tuesday.

Advice: Rodriguez delivered after Josh Rojas tied the game with an RBI single off Ryan Pressly. Those two combined for four of the Mariners’ seven hits and all three of the team’s runs batted in tonight (the other run also came on Rodríguez’s eighth-inning hit, but it was the result of an error). Rodríguez is 8-for-17 with two homers and seven RBI in his last four games, raising his OPS from .606 to .657. Rotoworld 21 minutes ago

    • Luis Castillo delivers eighth quality start
Luis Castillo threw six innings of two-run ball against the Astros on Tuesday.

Advice: It’s the fourth straight start in which Castillo has allowed exactly two runs. He hasn’t given up more than two earned runs since his third start of the year on April 8, and his ERA is down to 3.28. He’ll face the Angels next. Rotoworld 21 minutes ago
    • Secures save Tuesday
Estevez pitched a perfect ninth inning to earn the save in Tuesday's 4-3 win over the Yankees.

Advice: The Angels rallied ahead in the bottom of the eighth inning, and Estevez made the lead stand. The closer has allowed four runs (three earned) over 8.1 innings in May while adding three saves, one blown save and two losses. He's at a 4.76 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 17:3 K:BB over 17 innings this season, but he continues to operate in the closer role despite his shaky pitching. Rotowire.com 36 minutes ago
    • Carlos Estévez notches eighth save against Yankees
Carlos Estévez recorded his eighth save with a flawless ninth Tuesday against the Yankees.

Advice: The rare perfect inning from Estévez pulled his ERA back down to 4.76. He did go without a strikeout for a third straight appearance, but it’s unlikely that anyone with the Angels noticed. Rotoworld 53 minutes ago
    • Crosses plate four times
Ramirez went 2-for-3 with a two-run home run, two walks and four total runs scored in Tuesday's 13-7 win over the Rockies.

Advice: Ramirez has five multi-hit efforts, five homers and 15 RBI over his last seven contests. He opened the scoring in the first inning with his team-leading 16th homer of the campaign. The third baseman has added a major-league-best 56 RBI with 41 runs scored, eight stolen bases and a .272/.328/.558 slash line over 54 games this season. Ramirez was hatting as low as .227 with a .667 OPS on May 4, but he's powered up in a big way over the course of this month. Rotowire.com Today, 9:52 pm

    • José Ramírez homers, scores four times in victory
José Ramírez homered, doubled, walked twice and scored four runs against the Rockies on Tuesday.

Advice: Ramírez has spent most of the year with a slash line well below his usual standards, but going 16-for-44 with seven homers and six doubles in his last 11 games has pushed him up to .272/.328/.558, and he now has eight more RBI (56) than anyone else in the majors. • Short start as expected
Eovaldi allowed two runs on five hits and struck out two without walking a batter over three innings in a no-decision versus the Diamondbacks on Tuesday.

Advice: Eovaldi wasn't sent on a rehab assignment and was reportedly on a pitch count for his return from a groin strain. The right-hander ended up throwing 37 pitches (27 strikes) in his first start since May 2. Eovaldi is at a 2.84 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 46:19 K:BB through 44.1 innings over eight starts this season. Given his limited workload Tuesday, Eovaldi may need to be stretched out over the next couple of weeks. That may make it tough for him to qualify for the win in his next projected start. It's possible Eovaldi pitches again this weekend versus Miami, as Evan Grant of The Dallas Morning News reports Andrew Heaney -- who threw 2.1 innings in relief Tuesday -- could be used as a long reliever while the Rangers' schedule doesn't require them to have five starters. • Josh Jung (wrist) cleared to resume swinging a bat
Josh Jung (wrist) has been cleared to resume swinging a bat.

Advice: Jung remains several weeks away from returning to Texas’ lineup as he continues to work his way back from early-April surgery on his right wrist. He’s not expected to return until at least late June or early July, even in a best-case scenario. Rotoworld Today, 8:09 pm

    • Eovaldi goes three innings in return from IL
Nathan Eovaldi allowed two earned runs over three innings in Tuesday’s win over the Diamondbacks.

Advice: After pitching a perfect first inning, Eovaldi ran into trouble in the second, allowing the first three batters he faced to reach base, with Pavin Smith doubling home Christian Walker to give the Diamondbacks their first run of the night. He would give up another run in the inning on a Eugenio Suárez sacrifice fly. He would only pitch one more inning before being pulled after 37 pitches, functioning somewhat as an opener for the Rangers after the team opted to scratch Dane Dunning from his scheduled start. It was Eovaldi’s first outing since May 2nd after he was placed on the 15-day IL with a groin strain. If he’s back on the five-game rotation, his next start would be scheduled for Monday against the Tigers. Rotoworld Today, 7:28 pm
