India went 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI in Wednesday's 6-1 loss to Pittsburgh.
Advice: No one in baseball is hotter than India, who leads MLB with a .571 average and is second in OPS (1.654) over the last seven days. He's hit safely in eight straight contests, going 15-for-29 with four walks, two steals, seven doubles, one home run, three RBI and eight additional runs scored. Rotowire.comToday, 6:08 am
Neto went 2-for-4 with a three-RBI double and a run scored during Wednesday's 5-2 win over the Athletics.
Advice: Neto participated in four of the Angels' five runs Wednesday, highlighted by a go-ahead three-run double in the sixth inning off Austin Adams. The outing marked Neto's first three-RBI game of 2024 and was his second time in three games generating multiple hits. On the year, Neto is slashing .256/.307/.439 with 10 homers and 10 stolen bases over 284 plate appearances. Rotowire.comYesterday, 11:03 pm
Helsley allowed a hit and a walk while striking out one in a scoreless inning to earn the save in a 4-1 win over Atlanta in Game 2 of Wednesday's doubleheader.
Advice: Helsley allowed two runs in Monday's game versus Atlanta, but he was able to keep his save streak going. The right-hander has converted his last 28 save attempts after blowing his first chance of the year. He's now at a 2.75 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and 43:16 K:BB through 36 innings. Helsley has allowed six hits and issued 10 walks over 11 innings in June, but he's been scored on in just two of his 11 appearances this month, so his place as the Cardinals' closer is not in doubt. Ryan Helsley tossed a scoreless ninth inning with one strikeout to earn the save in the second game of a doubleheader against the Braves on Wednesday.
Advice: Helsley was summoned to close it out in the ninth with a three-run lead against the Braves. He recorded the first out, then allowed two runners on with a single and a walk. A groundout put both runners in scoring position and brought the tying run to the plate with two outs. He Helsley struck out the final batter to end the game with his MLB-leading 28th save. Zach Neto went 2-for-4 with a double, run scored, and three RBI in the Angels’ 5-1 win over the Athletics on Wednesday.
Advice: Neto’s three-run double in the sixth inning put the Angels ahead after being stifled all afternoon by Joey Estes. He’s had a sneaky solid season, with 10 homers, 10 steals, and 18 doubles. Hopefully Ron Washington decides to move him up in the batting order soon. RotoworldYesterday, 3:51 pm
Lopez (6-2) allowed two runs on four hits and four walks while striking out five over five innings to earn the win in Game 1 of Wednesday's doubleheader versus the Cardinals.
Advice: By his lofty standards this season, this wasn't a great performance for Lopez, but it was still enough for his third straight win. He hadn't allowed a run over his last two starts, and he's walked multiple batters just twice in his last seven outings. The right-hander is now at a 1.70 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 81:27 K:BB through 79.1 innings over 14 starts in 2024. His next start is projected to be at home versus the Giants. Reynaldo López defeated the Cardinals by allowing two runs in five innings in the first game of Wednesday’s doubleheader.
Advice: López certainly wasn’t at his sharpest today, but the Cardinals came away with just one run each time they loaded the bases against him. The Braves had bullpen help ready to go the latter time, when Brendon Donovan was up with two outs in the fifth. Donovan went on to hit a sharp liner, but it was right at Jarred Kelenic in center, keeping the Braves’ lead intact. RotoworldYesterday, 2:45 pm
Maikel Garcia went 0-for-4 with a pair of strikeouts on Wednesday in the Royals’ win over the Marlins.
Advice: Yikes. Garcia’s latest hitless effort leaves him with a .174 (21-for-121) batting average with zero homers and six steals over his last 30 games. It’s fair to wonder how much longer Kansas City can afford to stick with him anywhere near the top of their lineup moving forward. RotoworldYesterday, 2:24 pm
Jonathan India stays hot with two more hits in loss
Jonathan India went 2-for-4 with an RBI double on Wednesday in the Reds’ loss to the Pirates.
Advice: India was responsible for manufacturing Cincinnati’s lone extra-base hit and run of the contest on Wednesday afternoon as they were unable to solve Luis Ortiz over six frames to open the game before relievers Kyle Nicolas and Aroldis Chapman came out of the bullpen to slam the door. It’s flown a bit under the radar, but India is playing some of the best ball of his career at the moment, batting .365 (35-for-96) with three homers, 20 RBI and four steals over his last 30 games.
