Joey Ortiz homers, singles home game winner
Joey Ortiz went 2-for-4 with a homer and four RBI to help the Brewers to a 7-6 win over the Yankees on Friday.
Advice: The homer was the first MLB shot for Ortiz, and it came off Luis Gil in the second inning with a runner on. On top of that honor, the 25-year-old came up clutch with an RBI single in the 11th inning to give the Brewers the victory. Ortiz has held his own in his first year as a member of the Milwaukee infield with a slash of .264/.355/.377, but he’s more of a long-term play than someone fantasy managers should rush to add.
