• Exits starting nine
Smith is absent from the lineup for Wednesday's contest versus the White Sox.

Advice: Smith started each of the previous three games at catcher but will begin this one on the bench. Austin Barnes will have the catching duties Wednesday. Rotowire.com 8 minutes ago

  • Scores three times, swipes bag
Stott went 1-for-3 with a double, three runs scored, a stolen base, and a walk in Wednesday's 6-2 win over the Tigers.

Advice: Stott came around to score every time he reached base in Wednesday's win. The three runs tied a career high, and he added his 20th stolen base of the season. His 20 swipes are the third most stolen bases in the National League behind Elly De La Cruz and Brice Turang. Stott's slash line of .242/.337/.363 isn't overly impressive, but he makes up for it with the solid counting stats. Rotowire.com 9 minutes ago

  • Teoscar Hernandez returns to Dodgers’ lineup
Teoscar Hernández (personal) returned to the Dodgers’ lineup for Wednesday’s contest against the White Sox.

Advice: The 31-year-old outfielder missed each of the team’s previous two games while attending to a personal matter in the Dominican Republic. Hernández will start in left field and will bat second for the Dodgers against Erick Fedde and the White Sox on Wednesday evening in Chicago. Rotoworld 10 minutes ago
  • Returns to lineup Wednesday
Hernandez (personal) will start in left field and bat second in Wednesday's game versus the White Sox.

Advice: Hernandez was unavailable for the first two games of the series as he dealt with personal matters in his native Dominican Republic. He's back in there for Wednesday's finale as the Dodgers try to finish off the sweep. Rotowire.com 12 minutes ago
  • Daulton Varsho (back) remains out of Jays’ lineup
Daulton Varsho (back) was held out of the Blue Jays’ starting lineup once again for Wednesday’s battle against the Red Sox.

Advice: It’s the fourth straight game that the 27-year-old slugger has missed due to the lingering back issue. Eventually, the Jays are going to have to make a decision here if he isn’t ready to return, but for now they’re continuing to take things on a day-to-day basis. Rotoworld 14 minutes ago

  • Remains out of action
Varsho (back) remains out of the lineup for Wednesday's game in Boston.

Advice: Varsho will be absent from the lineup for a fourth straight contest as he deals with a back injury. He is considered day-to-day. Kevin Kiermaier will make another start in center field and bat ninth for the Blue Jays on Wednesday. Rotowire.com 17 minutes ago

  • Joining rotation Sunday
Red Sox manager Alex Cora said that Winckowski will start Sunday's game against the Padres in Boston, Mac Cerullo of the Boston Herald reports.

Advice: Due to off days Thursday and next Monday, the Red Sox didn't need to add a fifth starter to the rotation until July 6, but manager Alex Cora is electing to bring Winckowski in the rotation early. Brayan Bello had been lined up to start Sunday's game, but he'll instead get pushed back to next Wednesday in Miami and have extra time to regroup after he was lit up for seven earned runs over 2.1 innings in a loss to Toronto on Wednesday. While coming on in relief of Bello on Tuesday, Winckowski struck out eight and allowing two earned runs in six innings, so he looks to be fully stretched out enough to head into Sunday's start without any restrictions with his pitch count. Winckowski has previously made three starts with the big club this season, posting a 1.69 ERA and 0.94 WHIP over 10.2 innings. Rotowire.com 24 minutes ago

  • Cal Raleigh lifts Mariners to victory over Rays
Cal Raleigh clobbered a three-run homer on Wednesday, leading the Mariners to a 5-2 victory over the Rays.

Advice: Raleigh put Seattle ahead for good in a low-scoring series finale at Tropicana Field by walloping a gargantuan 422-foot dinger to right field off Rays reliever Shawn Armstrong in the sixth inning. It was his lone hit of the contest, but he also drew a pair of walks as well. The 27-year-old backstop remains a liability in the batting average department, but he’s up to 14 big flies already and is on pace for his second consecutive 30-homer campaign. • Yandy Díaz collects RBI in eighth straight game
Yandy Díaz went 2-for-4 with an RBI on Wednesday in the Rays’ loss to the Mariners.

Advice: Díaz kicked off the scoring with a run-scoring single off Mariners starter George Kirby in the third inning, marking his eighth consecutive contest with an RBI since June 19. The 32-year-old on-base machine has caught fire over the last few weeks, batting .353 (24-for-68) with three homers and 11 RBI over his last 15 games. Rotoworld 25 minutes ago
