• Connects for first homer of 2024
Duran went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Saturday's loss to the Twins.

Advice: Duran finally got on the board with his first long ball of the season, though that wasn't enough to save him from being lifted for a defensive replacement (Travis Jankowski) later in the game. While Duran now has a .284 batting average, he has just a .683 OPS and his playing time has been trending downward. The 25-year-old had been in the starting lineup for just two of the Rangers' last six games entering Saturday. Rotowire.com Saturday, 11:37 pm

  • Will Benson goes deep in victory over Dodgers
Will Benson slugged a solo home run on Saturday night, helping to power the Reds past the Dodgers.

Advice: Benson tattooed a Walker Buehler 2-0 fastball for a 411-foot (104.7 mph EV) solo shot in the second inning that gave the Reds a 2-1 advantage they wouldn’t relinquish. He walked in his only other plate appearance in the ballgame, finishing the night 1-for-1 officially. On the season, the 25-year-old outfielder is now hitting .193/.293/.398 with seven homers and 15 RBI. Rotoworld Saturday, 6:57 pm

  • Upping workouts
Trout (knee) has been working out on the elliptical and exercise bike and will next progress to the treadmill, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Trout has not done any baseball activities yet, but his rehab from left knee surgery in early May is progressing on schedule. It figures to be a while before a timetable comes into focus, but a return before the All-Star break seems unlikely at this stage. Rotowire.com Saturday, 4:39 pm

  • Ezequiel Duran launches first homer vs. Twins
Ezequiel Duran went 1-for-3 with a solo homer against the Twins on Saturday.

Advice: Duran hadn’t hit a home run over 34 games to start the season going into Saturday’s contest against the Twins. He finally got on the board with a solo shot off Chris Paddack in the fifth inning. The 25-year-old utility man is getting sporadic playing time around the diamond. He’s hitting 284/.346/.337 with eight runs and six RBI across 104 plate appearances. Rotoworld Saturday, 2:11 pm

  • Swipes two bases Friday
Moore went 0-for-3 with a walk and two stolen bases in a loss to the Nationals on Friday.

Advice: It's been quite the productive week for Moore, who also homered twice Tuesday against the Yankees in what was his second consecutive multi-hit effort. The 31-year-old has now reached safely in nine consecutive games, a stretch during which he's accumulated seven extra-base hits (four doubles, three home runs), eight walks and six runs on his way to a .346 average and 1.360 OPS (35 plate appearances). The combination of his defensive versatility, pop and plate discipline has earned Moore a regular role between the infield and left field. Rotowire.com Saturday, 8:38 am

  • Clubs third homer
Martinez went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in Friday's loss to the Giants.

Advice: The veteran DH also struck out three times, as he continues to lock in his timing at the plate following a delayed start to the season. Through 25 games as a Met, Martinez is slashing .289/.326/.456 with three homers and 10 RBI. The home run was Martinez's third from May 11 through Friday. Rotowire.com Saturday, 7:27 am

  • Productive from bottom of order
Hampson went 2-for-3 with a walk, an RBI and a stolen base in Friday's 8-1 win over the Rays.

Advice: Getting the start in center field and batting ninth with lefty Tyler Alexander lined up to be the primary pitcher for Tampa Bay, Hampson kept the line moving as he reached base three times, the second time he's accomplished that in his last six starts. Of late, the 29-year-old has mainly been used as a platoon partner for Kyle Isbel, and Hampson's been effective in that role -- on the season he's slashing .306/.359/.389 in 40 plate appearances against southpaws. • Three hits in season debut
Andujar went 3-for-4 with two RBI in Friday's 6-3 loss to the Astros.

Advice: Andujar had RBI singles in the first and seventh innings in his season debut. The outfielder missed nearly two months with a torn meniscus in his right knee and hit .389 (7-for-18) during a five-game rehab stint at Triple-A Las Vegas. Andujar will join a suddenly crowded Oakland outfield, with his best chance for playing time coming in left field in competition with fellow right-handed hitters Brent Rooker and Daz Cameron. • Reinstated from IL
The Athletics reinstated Andujar (knee) from the injured list Friday.

Advice: Andujar has been on the injured list all season after undergoing surgery to repair a torn meniscus in his right knee shortly before Opening Day. It had been previously reported that he was in line to make several more rehab starts at Triple-A Las Vegas, but the A's believe the 29-year-old is healthy enough to return from his assignment early. In five games with Las Vegas, Andujar went 7-for-18 with six RBI and scored three runs. Brett Harris was optioned to Triple-A in a corresponding move. Rotowire.com Friday, 2:12 pm
