    • Goes deep again Saturday
Smith went 1-for-5 with a two-run home run in Saturday's 5-3 win against Milwaukee.

Advice: After belting three solo homers Friday, Smith smashed a two-run shot in his first at-bat Saturday. Per Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic, the backstop became the first Dodger to homer in four straight at-bats since Adrian Gonzalez in 2015 and the first major-leaguer to do so since Jose Altuve in September of last season. Smith's two-game power surge has pushed him to 15 long balls on the campaign, tied for third among MLB catchers. Rotowire.com 14 minutes ago

    • Nick Lodolo (finger) throws bullpen session
Nick Lodolo (finger) threw a bullpen session Saturday.

Advice: Lodolo has been on the injured list since June 25 while dealing with a blister issue. The southpaw hurler has completed two sessions over the last week, and he’s eligible to come off the list Tuesday. There’s no timetable for when he’ll actually return, and there’s a chance that we won’t see Lodolo until after the All-Star break, but it’s at least positive that he’s able to throw right now. • Completes side session Saturday
Lodolo (finger) threw a bullpen session Saturday, MLB.com reports.

Advice: The throwing session was Lodolo's second in four days, as he had previously tossed 20 pitches to hitters in live batting practice Wednesday. Given that he's been on the injured list only since June 25 with a left finger blister, Lodolo will likely be able to bypass a minor-league rehab assignment, though it's not immediately clear if he'll be activated from the IL during the final week before the All-Star break. The Reds have already announced their starters through Wednesday, so Thursday's series finale versus the Rockies would likely be the earliest date that Lodolo might be activated. • Homers in back-to-back games
Albies went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run, three total RBI and two total runs scored in Saturday's 5-1 win over the Phillies.

Advice: Albies opened the scoring with an RBI single in the first inning and added his homer in the fifth. The second baseman is on a nine-game hitting streak, going 14-for-36 (.389) in that span. He's taken it up another notch recently with three straight multi-hit contests. Overall, Albies has a .266/.320/.423 slash line with eight homers, 43 RBI, 45 runs scored and six stolen bases over 79 games this season. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:23 pm

    • Homers in win over Giants
Kwan went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and an additional run scored in Saturday's 5-4 win over the Giants.

Advice: Kwan has gone deep in two of his last three games, and he's hit five homers over his last 17 contests while batting .294 (20-for-68) in that span. While he's cooled off from flirting with a .400 batting average in mid-to-late June, he continues to impress with his consistency at the plate. The outfielder has a .365/.421/.542 slash line for the year while adding nine homers, 27 RBI, 52 runs scored and four stolen bases over 61 contests. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:54 pm

    • Ozzie Albies homers, plates three to lead Braves
Ozzie Albies homered and drove in three runs on Saturday night, propelling the Braves to a 5-1 victory over the visiting Phillies.

Advice: Albies got the scoring started in the home half of the first inning with an RBI single off of Ranger Suárez that scored Jarred Kelenic. He then rode home on Marcell Ozuna’s two-run blast. Albies tacked on a mammoth 431-foot (113.7 mph EV) two-run shot off of Suárez in the fifth inning that made it a 5-1 ballgame. He finished the evening 2-for-4 and is now hitting .266/.320/.423 with eight long balls and 43 RBI on the year. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:36 pm

    • Will Smith homers again as Dodgers top Brewers
Will Smith homered again on Saturday, powering the Dodgers to a 5-3 victory over the visiting Brewers.

Advice: After homering in each of his final three at-bats on Friday night, Smith left the yard in his fourth straight at-bat with his 369-foot (101.6 mph EV) two-run shot off of Freddy Peralta in the opening inning on Saturday. In doing so, he became just the third player in Dodgers’ history to homer in four straight at-bats, joining Adrian Gonzalez (2015) and Shawn Green (2002). That would be his only hit in four at-bats on the night, but it played a significant role in propelling the Dodgers to victory. On the season, the 29-year-old backstop is now slashing .276/.348/.509 with 15 homers and 55 RBI. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:16 pm

    • Homer, two hits in win
Verdugo went 2-for-5 with a home run, two RBI and two runs scored in a 14-4 win over the Red Sox on Saturday.

Advice: Verdugo hit a two-run home run in the third inning and then singled and scored in the fifth. He hit just .219 with one homer in June but has registered two multi-hit efforts in his past three games and continues to hit in the middle of the order. The outfielder's current .246 average is well below his .277 career mark, but he has contributed 10 home runs, 45 RBI and 42 runs scored across 364 plate appearances in 2024. • Kwan belts ninth home run in win Saturday
Steven Kwan went 2-for-4 with two runs scored and a solo home run against the Giants on Saturday.

Advice: Kwan’s home run was his ninth of the season. He hit a single in the first inning against Kyle Harrison and came around to score on an RBI groundout by Josh Naylor. In the second inning, he homered off Harrison. That’ll do. Kwan is hitting .365 with a .963 OPS and 27 RBI on the season. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:58 pm
