    Aaron Judge was removed from Tuesday’s game against the Orioles after being hit by a pitch on the left hand.

    Advice: Not good. Judge remained in the contest initially after being drilled by a 95-mph fastball pitch on the left hand in the third inning, but was eventually lifted for a pinch-hitter in the ensuing frame. The 32-year-old generational superstar, who leads the majors with 26 homers and 64 RBI this season, is presumably headed for X-rays to determine whether he suffered any fractures.   • J.T. Realmuto (knee) aims to return next month
    J.T. Realmuto (knee) told reporters Tuesday that he’s planning to return by next month’s All-Star break.

    Advice: Realmuto is roughly one week removed from right knee surgery to repair a meniscus tear and is hoping to get back into game action, barring any setbacks, in the days leading up to the All-Star break, which begins on July 15.     Advice: Thursday will mark the first time Blackburn has thrown off a mound since he landed on the injured list May 13 due to a fracture in his right foot. He isn't expected to return until after the All-Star break, but a more precise return timeline for the 30-year-old may emerge after he throws a few additional bullpen sessions and progresses to facing live hitters.     Astros OF prospect Joey Loperfido is dealing with left hand inflammation.

    Advice: This explains why Loperfido has been held out of game action since last Friday when he went 3-for-5 with a triple and three RBI for Triple-A Sugar Land. The 25-year-old slugging prospect, who seems to have a path to at-bats in Houston in the near future, was able to take batting practice on Tuesday and should return to game action this week.     Stripling (elbow) will throw a bullpen session in Oakland on Tuesday, Martin Gallegos of MLB.com reports.

    Advice: Stripling has already held catch sessions where he's thrown from 105 feet and Tuesday's the next step in his recovery from a strained right elbow.   • Jordan Westburg leaves game with hip discomfort
    Jordan Westburg was removed from Tuesday’s game against the Yankees with left hip discomfort.

    Advice: Westburg collided awkwardly with Yankees slugger Juan Soto while fielding a first-inning grounder at third base and was lifted from the contest in the ensuing frame. It sounds like his early exit was merely for precautionary reasons, but he’ll presumably undergo some additional testing to rule out anything serious.     Westburg left Tuesday's contest with the Yankees in the bottom of the second inning with left hip discomfort, Jake Rill of MLB.com reports.

    Advice: Westburg struck out swinging to open the game in the top of the first inning and he was later removed from the contest in the bottom of the second. Westburg will certainly undergo imaging on his hip to determine the severity of the injury, but in the meantime, Ramon Urias has replaced him at third base against New York.     Advice: Hill went unclaimed on waivers, with zero clubs interested in picking up the remaining portion of his one-year, $1.8 million contract, after being removed last week from Chicago’s 40-man roster. The 34-year-old lefty figures to latch on somewhere in the coming weeks, but might have to settle for a minor league contract after posting a lackluster 5.87 ERA, 2.22 WHIP and 13/10 K/BB ratio across 23 innings (27 appearances) this season in his White Sox debut.
