    Advice: Back in the two-hole of the batting order with Mookie Betts out, Smith hit a solo shot with two outs off Rockies starter Ty Blach with two outs in the fourth.     The Rockies cleared Diaz (calf) to resume jogging Monday, MLB.com reports.

    Advice: While Diaz looks to be making some progress in his recovery from the left calf strain that forced him to the injured list last Friday, he's still on track to spend more than the minimum 10 days on the shelf.     Advice: Herrera's back evidently locked up on him sometime around his arrival at Rickwood Field in Birmingham, Ala. It partly explains why he's not in the lineup, although Pedro Pages has been the Cardinals' preferred option at catcher lately, anyway. At this point, Herrera should be considered day-to-day.
