    • MacKenzie Gore punches out 10 in win
MacKenzie Gore stayed hot with 10 strikeouts across 5 ⅓ innings in a 7-2 win over the Braves on Wednesday. He allowed just one earned run, six hits, and no walks.

Advice: Gore’s breakout continued Wednesday with a tremendous start in Atlanta. The 10 strikeouts caused his pitch count to creep up and forced him from this one before the end of the sixth inning, but the Braves were totally powerless. Even with six hits they had just four hard-hit balls as Gore attacked the zone with fastballs and then made hitters look foolish with sliders, curveballs, and changeups - all of which induced multiple swings and misses. The win was his fourth of the season as his ERA sunk to 2.91. Rotoworld Wednesday, 7:37 pm
    • Hangs on for 18th save
Helsley earned the save in Wednesday's 5-3 win over the Reds, allowing a run on a hit and two walks in the ninth inning.

Advice: Protecting a three-run lead in the ninth, Helsley allowed the first two batters to reach. He'd allow a run on a Tyler Stephenson sacrifice fly before ultimately getting Elly De La Cruz to ground out with the tying runs on base. Helsley has now converted 18 straight save chances despite allowing at least one run in his last three appearances. Overall, the 29-year-old right-hander sports a 2.52 ERA with a 1.16 WHIP and 25:6 K:BB over 25 innings this season. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 2:28 pm

    • Ryan Helsley again gives up run, earns save
Ryan Helsley notched his 18th save after giving up a run in the ninth Wednesday against the Reds.

Advice: Helsley has bent but not broke these last three appearances, giving up a total of four ninth-inning runs while still converting the save opportunity each time. His ERA has doubled from 1.23 to 2.52, but he’s 18-for-19 on the year. Rotoworld Wednesday, 1:40 pm

    • Let down by defense Tuesday
Littell (2-3) took the loss Tuesday as the Rays fell 3-0 to the A's, allowing three unearned runs on five hits and a walk over seven innings. He struck out nine.

Advice: The right-hander set a new career high in strikeouts, generating 30 called or swinging strikes among his 95 pitches, but a Brandon Lowe error helped prolong the sixth inning and set the stage for a three-run homer by Miguel Andujar. Littell had to settle for his fourth quality start of the year, and he'll take a 3.03 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 64:10 K:BB through 62.1 innings into his next outing, which lines up to come on the road this weekend in Baltimore. • Zack Littell takes tough luck loss to A’s
Zack Littell allowed three runs (none earned) on five hits in seven innings in a loss to the Athletics on Tuesday.

Advice: Littell also struck out nine and walked just one. A Brandon Lowe fielding error got the sixth inning started, and after a walk, Littell was able to get two outs before giving up a three-run shot to Miguel Andujar. That was the difference in the game. The 28-year-old had a dominant performance from his splitter on Tuesday and rode it to a 31 percent whiff rate and 32 percent CSW overall. He’ll now take a 3.03 ERA into a showdown this weekend with the Orioles where he’ll be a risky option in fantasy leagues. Rotoworld Tuesday, 6:48 pm

    • Hyde: Dean Kremer (triceps) to resume throwing
Orioles manager Brandon Hyde told reporters Tuesday that Dean Kremer (triceps) will resume throwing later this week.

Advice: Kremer hit the injured list last week with a right triceps strain, so it’s an encouraging development that he’s ready to resume throwing already. The 28-year-old righty should rejoin Baltimore’s starting rotation mix at some point in mid-June. Rotoworld Tuesday, 1:40 pm

    • Close to playing catch
Orioles manager Brandon Hyde said Tuesday that Kremer (triceps) is improving and could be cleared to play catch soon, Jake Rill of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Kremer was placed on the 15-day injured list this past Friday, but it's looking like his absence might not last long. That said, it might be a push for the right-hander to return when eligible on June 5. More should be known on Kremer's potential timetable in the coming days. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 1:31 pm

    • Yields eight runs in loss
Morton (3-2) took the loss Monday against Washington, allowing eight runs on 12 hits and two walks over 5.2 innings. He struck out seven.

Advice: The 40-year-old Morton allowed a career-high 12 hits in this start as the Nationals laced eight singles, three doubles and one homer. However, he also managed to generate an impressive 18 whiffs en route to his seven punchouts. Overall, the Atlanta veteran owns a 4.29 ERA, 1.32 WHIP and 59:23 K:BB in 56.2 innings this season. Morton is currently slated to face Oakland at home in his next start. Rotowire.com Monday, 6:04 pm

    • Morton hit hard in loss against the Nationals Monday
Charlie Morton allowed eight runs in 5 ⅔ innings and took the loss against the Nationals on Monday.

Advice: Morton allowed 12 hits, walked two and struck out seven. Despite allowing four runs in the first inning, the Braves let Morton work through it and the Nationals offense didn’t let up as he had his worst start of the season. His ERA increased from 3.35 to 4.29. The 40-year-old right-hander will look to turn the page in his next start against the Athletics at home this weekend.
