    • Brenton Doyle homers again in loss to Brewers
Brenton Doyle homered for the third time in his last two games on Tuesday, but it wasn’t enough to power the Rockies past the Brewers at Coors Field.

Advice: Doyle got the Rockies on the board an evened the score at a run apiece with his 374-foot (94.8 mph EV) solo shot off of Dallas Keuchel in the second inning. He also smacked a go-ahead RBI double in the eighth inning that briefly gave the Rockies a 3-2 advantage. The dynamic outfielder finished the night 2-for-3 plus a walk and is now hitting .264/.328/.424 with 10 homers, 32 RBI and 20 stolen bases on the season. Rotoworld 32 minutes ago

    • Staying put in Triple-A
Palacios will not be recalled from Triple-A Indianapolis on Wednesday, Alex Stumpf of MLB.com reports.

Advice: It had been previously reported Tuesday that Palacios was bound for the majors, but the team will instead keep him in Indianapolis for now. The 28-year-old outfielder has missed two months of the season due to an injury, but he's posted a .934 OPS since returning from the IL on June 11. If his bat continues to stay hot, it's possible he still gets the call to Pittsburgh at some point -- especially if Jack Suwinski and Michael Taylor continue to struggle in the big leagues. • Homers in win
Freeman went 2-for-4 with a home run, two RBI and two runs scored in a 7-6 win over the White Sox on Tuesday.

Advice: Freeman singled and scored in the fifth inning and added a two-run home run in the sixth. The 25-year-old slashed a miserable .167/.268/.264 in June but got off on the right foot in July with his first home run since June 9. On the season, he is slashing .211/.306/.343 with seven home runs, 30 RBI, 41 runs scored and eight steals over 291 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Today, 8:10 pm

    • Homer, three hits in loss
Suwinski went 3-for-3 with a three-run home run in a 7-4 loss to the Cardinals on Tuesday.

Advice: Suwinski singled in the third inning and put the Pirates on the board with a three-run home run in the fifth. He later added another single in the seventh to stay perfect at the plate Tuesday. This was the outfielder's first three-hit effort of the season and his first home run since June 14. On the year, he is hitting a lowly .180 with seven home runs, 23 RBI, 24 runs scored and five steals over 225 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Today, 8:02 pm

    • Nursing head injury
Bader said after Tuesday's win over Washington that he was removed from the game after hitting his head/neck on the outfield wall, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Bader ran into the outfield wall while trying to make a catch during the third inning and had to be taken out of the game shortly afterward. He cleared all medical tests following the incident and said he's hopeful to return to action Wednesday. The 30-year-old entered Tuesday's contest slashing .265/.306/.529 with two home runs over his last 10 games. Rotowire.com Today, 7:30 pm

    • Soler hits 10th homer of season to down Braves
Jorge Soler went 1-for-5 with a home run in Tuesday’s win over the Braves.

Advice: Soler hit his 10th homer of the season on Tuesday night when he hit a 407-foot shot off Reynaldo López to give the Giants their first run of the game. Soler has now hit in three straight games and has driven in three RBI over that span while tallying five extra-base hits. The recent power surge is an encouraging sign for the veteran DH, who entered the day slashing .230/.311/.398. Rotoworld Today, 7:26 pm

    • Margot has two-hit night, homers in win vs. Tigers
Manuel Margot went 2-for-4 with a home run in Tuesday’s win over the Tigers.

Advice: Margot tied the game at 3-3 when he sent his third homer of the season into the stands. Margot has now hit safely in three of his last four games and has homered twice over the last week. With that said, we won’t expect a sudden power surge from a veteran who has never hit more than 13 homers in a season.

    • Goes deep again Tuesday
Malloy went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Tuesday's 5-3 loss to the Twins.

Advice: Malloy is starting to settle in at the MLB level as he blasted his fourth career home run and second in as many games. The rookie was batting .158 through his first 13 contests, but he's upped that to a more respectable .241 over his last 11 games. There's still room for improvement, though if Malloy can continue to display good power, fantasy managers will deal with a lower batting average. Rotowire.com Today, 7:11 pm

    • Joining Pirates Wednesday
The Pirates will recall Palacios from Triple-A Indianapolis on Wednesday, Noah Hiles of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.

Advice: Since returning from the Triple-A injured list June 11, Palacios has slashed .362/.423/.511 with a homer and six RBI in 52 plate appearances. He'll now join the big-league outfield unit in an effort from the Pirates to get more production out of their outfielders, as Jack Suwinski (.542 OPS) and Michael Taylor (.492 OPS) have struggled at the plate all season.
