    • Joining Pirates Wednesday
The Pirates will recall Palacios from Triple-A Indianapolis on Wednesday, Noah Hiles of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.

Advice: Since returning from the Triple-A injured list June 11, Palacios has slashed .362/.423/.511 with a homer and six RBI in 52 plate appearances. He'll now join the big-league outfield unit in an effort from the Pirates to get more production out of their outfielders, as Jack Suwinski (.542 OPS) and Michael Taylor (.492 OPS) have struggled at the plate all season. • Report: Pirates set to recall Joshua Palacios
The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette’s Noah Hiles reports the Pirates are recalling outfielder Joshua Palacios on Wednesday from Triple-A Indianapolis.

Advice: Palacios is getting the call back to the majors for Wednesday’s game against the Cardinals after batting .311/.386/.419 with one homer and one steal in 21 games this season for Triple-A Indianapolis. The 28-year-old outfielder got into a career-high 91 contests last year for Pittsburgh. Rotoworld Today, 6:55 pm

    • Jack Suwinski has three hits, HR in loss
Jack Suwinski went 3-for-3 with a home run in a loss to the Cardinals on Tuesday.

Advice: Suwinski had the two hardest-hit balls of the day with a 109.7 mph single and a 107.5 mph home run that traveled 448 feet. It was his seventh big fly of the season and is still hitting under .190 on the year He has started four of the last five games in center field for the Pirates, but he only posted one total hit in the other starts. There remains some potential here, but this might not be Suwinski turning a corner yet. Rotoworld Today, 6:50 pm

    • Tyler Freeman has two hits, HR in win
Tyler Freeman went 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBI in a win over the White Sox on Tuesday.

Advice: The home run was Freeman’s seventh of the season to go along with 30 RBI. Despite some concerns about his playing time, Freeman has started five of the last six games in center field for the Guardians. His expected stats still suggest there should be some batting average gains coming for the 25-year-old, but he might never be a real asset in that category. Still, given his most power/speed upside and regular role, Freeman is worth rostering in deeper formats. Rotoworld Today, 6:31 pm

    • Luis Robert Jr. has two hits, HR, SB in loss
Luis Robert Jr. went 2-for-4 with a home run, four RBI, and a stolen base in a loss to the Guardians on Tuesday.

Advice: Robert drove in two runs on a 363-foot home run in the sixth inning and then knocked in two more on a game-tying single in the seventh. He’s now up to 10 home runs on the season but just 18 RBIs in a depleted White Sox lineup. He also has four steals to add to his five-category fantasy upside. While his team context will hurt his counting stats, there remains a chance Robert Jr. gets traded at the deadline which could unlock yet another level of fantasy goodness. • Jarren Duran fillets Marlins with homer plus steal
Jarren Duran homered and also stole a base on Tuesday, leading the Red Sox to an 8-3 victory over the Marlins.

Advice: Duran walked and stole a base -- his 21st theft of the season -- in the second inning before walloping a gargantuan 433-foot blast to left field -- his 10th round-tripper of the season -- off Marlins reliever JT Chargois in the eighth inning. The 27-year-old speedster has put together arguably the most impressive first-half breakout performance of any player in the fantasy landscape, batting .287/.351/.497 with 43 extra-base hits, including 10 triples and 10 homers, in addition to 21 stolen bases. He’s rapidly evolving into a five-category fantasy superstar and rewarding fantasy managers that have exercised extreme patience over the last few years as he continued to develop at the highest level. • Ceddanne Rafaela hits three-run homer in victory
Ceddanne Rafaela clobbered a three-run homer on Tuesday in the Red Sox’ lopsided win over the Marlins.

Advice: Rafaela took Marlins rookie starter Valente Bellozo deep to left field for a no-doubter in the fourth inning. It was his ninth round-tripper of the season and first time leaving the yard since June 17. The versatile 23-year-old is on pace for a 20-homer, 20-steal rookie campaign at the moment. If this is the starting point, he’s going to be an extremely impactful fantasy contributor for a long time, even if the plate skills only marginally improve. Rotoworld Today, 6:14 pm

    • Evan Carter (back) progressing towards return
Evan Carter (back) is expected to progress to facing live pitching again this week.

Advice: Carter resumes swinging a bat earlier this week and should be ready to face some actual live pitching in the coming days. The 21-year-old former top prospect landed on the injured list back in early June with a stress reaction in his back and was expected to miss at least one month. He’s going to need a minor league rehab assignment to get back up to speed, but it sounds like he could be back before the end of July, barring any setbacks. Rotoworld Today, 5:38 pm

    • IKF week-to-week with right knee sprain
Isiah Kiner-Falefa is week-to-week with a right knee sprain.

Advice: Blue Jays manager John Schneider told reporters Tuesday that Kiner-Falefa is going to require more than a minimum stay on the injured list after suffering a right knee sprain. There isn’t an official timeline for his return, but the absence of any sort of clarity means he’s most likely out until after the All-Star break. Rotoworld Today, 5:35 pm
