    • Tigers officially recall Parker Meadows on Friday
Tigers recalled OF Parker Meadows from Triple-A Toledo.

Advice: As expected, the dynamic 24-year-old outfielder will rejoin the big-league club after spending nearly two months refining his approach at the plate at Triple-A Toledo. He’ll start in center field and bat eighth against Carson Spiers and the Reds on Friday evening in Cincinnati. Prior to his demotion, Meadows was slashing a cringe-inducing .096/.224/.219 with two homers, three RBI, three stolen bases and a 32/11 K/BB ratio over 85 plate appearances. • Back in big leagues
The Tigers recalled Meadows from Triple-A Toledo on Friday.

Advice: Meadows was the Tigers' Opening Day center fielder but was sent down in early May after going just 7-for-73 at the plate. He got on track at Toledo to earn another chance, producing a .298/.394/.511 batting line with eight home runs and 19 stolen bases. Meadows also struck out at just a 19 percent rate with Toledo after he had fanned at a 37.7 percent clip earlier this year with the Tigers. He should operate as Detroit's regular center fielder at least against right-handed pitching. Rotowire.com Friday, 2:02 pm

    • Remaining on rehab assignment
Nootbaar (oblique) will remain on his rehab assignment with Double-A Springfield for at least a couple more days to work on his timing at the plate, Katie Woo of The Athletic reports.

Advice: The initial expectation was that Nootbaar would rejoin the Cardinals on the road for their weekend series against the Nationals, but he's evidently not satisfied with his swing and will work to fine-tune things for a bit longer. It now seems likely that Nootbaar will return July 9 when the Cardinals are back home. Rotowire.com Friday, 1:41 pm

    • Out of lineup versus lefty
Marsh is not in the lineup for Friday's game in Atlanta.

Advice: Marsh will begin this game on the bench as Atlanta sends left-hander Max Fried to the hill. The Phillies will go with right-handed batters both in left field (Cristian Pache) and center field (Johan Rojas). Rotowire.com Friday, 1:09 pm
    • Wyatt Langford puts on a show in losing effort
Wyatt Langford delivered an RBI single on Thursday in the Rangers’ loss to the Padres.

Advice: Langford made a pair of unbelievable highlight-reel worthy defensive plays and was responsible for plating the Rangers’ lone run of the contest with a run-scoring single off Padres starter Michael King in the sixth inning. The 22-year-old top prospect has been excellent over the last few weeks, batting .303 (33-for-109) with three homers and six steals over his last 30 games. He’s yet another textbook example of why fantasy managers should exercise patience with talented top prospects, even if they struggle initially upon reaching the majors. Rotoworld Thursday, 2:14 pm
    • Homers in win
Fairchild went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Wednesday's 3-2 win over the Yankees.

Advice: Fairchild's fifth-inning home run turned out to be the game-winning knock. It was the fifth homer of the season and first in 30 games for Fairchild, who normally only plays against left-handed pitchers. Rotowire.com Thursday, 4:48 am

    • Not in lineup Wednesday
Kjerstad is not in the starting lineup for Wednesday's game against Seattle.

Advice: Kjerstad will begin Wednesday's game in the dugout after going 0-for-4 with three strikeouts in Tuesday's 2-0 win over the Mariners. Austin Hays will start in left field and bat seventh against Seattle right-hander Logan Gilbert. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 3:31 pm
    • Sitting versus lefty
Marsh is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Cubs, Scott Lauber of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

Advice: Southpaw Shota Imanaga is taking the mound Wednesday for Chicago, and the lefty-hitting Marsh will head to the bench. Johan Rojas will start in center field and bat eighth in Marsh's place. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 2:18 pm
    • Idle against lefty
Conforto is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against Atlanta.

Advice: As per usual, Conforto will retreat to the bench with a southpaw (Chris Sale) on the mound. Luis Matos, Heliot Ramos and Austin Slater will fill the outfield from left to right. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 1:39 pm
