• Zack Wheeler fans 11 in shutting down Giants
Zack Wheeler fanned 11 and yielded only an unearned run over seven innings as the Phillies bested the Giants 6-1 on Monday.

Advice: Wheeler got 16 of his 19 missed swings on fastballs and sinkers today and wound up with an excellent 40% CSW. He’s the easy NL Cy Young favorite at this point, having opened up 4-3 with a 1.64 ERA and a 63/13 K/BB ratio in 49 1/3 innings. His 32.1% strikeout rate would easily top his previous career best of 29.1% in 2021. Rotoworld 5 minutes ago

  • Bryce Harper hits three-run homer against Giants
Bryce Harper went 2-for-4 with a three-run homer in the win over the Giants on Monday.

Advice: That’s two three-run homers in two days. He’s actually hitting .375 with five homers and a 1.398 OPS with RISP this season, which one would think might lead to more than 24 RBI through 32 games. Rotoworld 6 minutes ago

  • Nick Castellanos finally collects first double
Nick Castellanos doubled, singled and walked twice versus the Giants on Monday.

Advice: Each time it looks like Castellanos might be turning the corner, he’s gone right back to slumping the next day. Still, this rates as his best game so far this season. The double was hit 389 feet and would have been a homer in nine ballparks. Incredibly, it was the first two-bagger of the year for a guy who once had 58 of them. He finished with 37 last season. • Matt Chapman goes 0-for-4, fans three times
Matt Chapman finished 0-for-4 with three strikeouts Monday against the Phillies.

Advice: Chapman is down to .209/.257/.345 on the season. His exit velocity numbers aren’t as good as usual, and he’s hitting more groundballs than he typically does. He’s also walking at half of his usual rate, though that doesn’t much matter for fantasy purposes. He’ll most likely bounce back some, but there’s little reason to think he’ll start being very useful in mixed leagues. Rotoworld 6 minutes ago

  • Sitting against southpaw
Butler is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Rangers.

Advice: The lefty-hitting Butler will head to the bench while southpaw Andrew Heaney toes the rubber for the Rangers. Tyler Nevin will fill in for Butler in right field and will bat second. Rotowire.com 11 minutes ago

  • Sitting out against lefty
Brown is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Rangers.

Advice: With lefty Andrew Heaney on the hill for Texas, the lefty-hitting Brown will head to the bench. Esteury Ruiz replaces Brown in left field. Rotowire.com 12 minutes ago

  • Evan Carter out Monday against Athletics
Evan Carter is out of the starting lineup for Monday’s game against the Athletics.

Advice: Carter will get a day of rest against southpaw Alex Wood. While Carter sits the Rangers will have Ezequiel Duran play left field and hit seventh. Josh Smith also gets the day off for the Rangers with Davis Wendzel getting the start at third. Rotoworld 15 minutes ago

  • Back in starting nine Monday
Ruiz (wrist) will start in left field and bat leadoff in Monday's game against the Rangers.

Advice: After he was pulled from Saturday's 20-4 win over the Marlins with a wrist injury, Ruiz was sent in for an MRI, but the imaging evidently revealed nothing concerning. The speedy outfielder will slot back in atop the lineup with Oakland facing a left-hander (Andrew Heaney) on Monday, but Ruiz still looks as though he'll be limited to a short-side platoon role that will limit his opportunities to play against right-handed pitching. • Sitting versus southpaw
Carter is absent from the lineup for Monday's game against the Athletics.

Advice: The A's are sending southpaw Alex Wood to the hill, so the left-handed hitting Carter will receive a day off. Ezequiel Duran is getting the start in left field Monday. Rotowire.com 16 minutes ago
