    Elehuris Montero connected on a two-run homer against the Padres on Thursday.

    Advice: Montero blasted his first homer of the season with a two-run shot off Randy Vasquez. The 25-year-old has not been a useable fantasy option over the first month of the season, as even with the roundtripper he’s slashing an unhealthy .236/.288/.306 over 73 at-bats.     Bryce Harper went 2-for-3 with a walk and a two-run homer on Thursday in the Phillies’ win over the Reds.

    Advice: The home run was a 384-foot shot off Nick Martinez that left the bat at 101.4 mph. Harper also had a 112 mph single on the day and is now slashing .256/.347/.488 on the year with five home runs and 16 RBI.     Ty France went 1-for-3 with a two-run homer against the Rangers on Thursday.

    Advice: France took Andrew Heaney deep in the first inning with a runner on to give Seattle a 2-0 lead, and also gave France his first homer of the season.   • Vaughn has two hits in loss to Twins
    Andrew Vaughn went 2-for-5 with a run scored in a loss to the Twins on Thursday.

    Advice: The White Sox had nine hits and Vaughn was the only one with an extra-base hit when he laced a 103.3 mph shot off Simeon Woods-Richardson in the fourth inning. The 26-year-old is slashing a disappointing .170/.255/.216 on the season and has yet to grow into the power hitter that his prospect pedigree suggested he could be. With poor lineup context around him, it’s hard to roster Vaughn in most formats right now, but just keep an eye on him in case he starts to heat up as the weather warms. Rotoworld Today, 1:54 pm

  • Hoskins has three hits, two RBI in win
    Rhys Hoskins went 3-for-5 with a double and two RBI in a win over the Pirates on Thursday.

    Advice: Hoskins is hitting just .226/.320/.452 on the year but does have five home runs and 17 RBI in 23 games. He’s been making solid contact with a barrel rate of just under 13 percent and has just 20 strikeouts in his 23 games, so at some point, that level of quality contact will lead to a hot streak.
