    • Gerrit Cole taking the ball Friday against Rays
Gerrit Cole will start Friday’s series opener against the Rays.

Advice: Nestor Cortes, Marcus Stroman and Carlos Rodón are in line to take the ball for the remainder of a four-game series against the division-rival Rays coming out of the All-Star break. That leaves Luis Gil to draw the starting assignment for Tuesday’s highly-anticipated Subway Series opener against the Mets. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:35 pm
    • Launches grand slam
Gelof went 1-for-5 with a grand slam Sunday against the Phillies.

Advice: Gelof's ninth-inning grand slam was the eighth and final long ball of the day for Oakland and put a rubber stamp on an 18-run outburst for the A's. It was the second consecutive game with a homer for Gelof, who has now hit seven over the past 23 games and is up to 12 on the season. Rotowire.com Sunday, 11:25 pm

    • Homers in Sunday's win
Henderson went 1-for-5 with a two-run home run in Sunday's 6-5 win over the Yankees.

Advice: Henderson's power pace has dipped in July -- he has two homers this month, though he's still hit .275 (14-for-51) over his last 12 contests. The shortstop's blast gave the Orioles a 2-1 lead in the third inning. Henderson is up to 28 homers this season, matching his total from 150 games last year in just 95 contests in 2024. He's added a .286/.373/.584 slash line, 63 RBI, 78 runs scored, 14 stolen bases, 18 doubles and five triples. Rotowire.com Sunday, 10:52 pm
    • Pulled after three innings
Keller didn't factor into the decision Sunday against the White Sox, allowing two runs on four hits and three walks over three innings. He struck out three.

Advice: The Pirates opted not to bring Keller out for the fourth inning, providing the 28-year-old with additional rest ahead of the All-Star Break. Keller has thrown 114.1 innings in the first half of the campaign and is on pace to shatter his career highs in starts and innings pitched, so it's possible the Pirates monitor Keller's workload during the back half of 2024. Still, Keller should be a strong fantasy option when on the mound, as he has posted a 3.46 ERA with 105 strikeouts this season while cruising to a 10-5 record. Rotowire.com Sunday, 9:19 pm

    • Blake Snell takes no-no into seventh against Twins
Blake Snell allowed one hit over seven scoreless innings and struck out eight against the Twins on Sunday.

Advice: Snell allowed just one hard-hit ball, which turned into an out. The lone hit against him was a clean single from Manuel Margot on a 97-mph fastball in the on the hands in the seventh. Snell walked none and was at just 80 pitches through seven, but since he’s coming back from injury, the Giants weren’t going to push it. He’s allowed two hits over 12 scoreless innings since coming off the IL, lowering his ERA from 9.51 to 6.31. Rotoworld Sunday, 5:21 pm
    • Corey Seager named to American League All-Stars
Corey Seager was named to the American League All-Star team on Sunday as an injury replacement for Carlos Correa (foot).

Advice: It’s the fifth time that the 30-year-old shortstop has been named an All-Star. He’s certainly deserving of the honor, slashing .270/.355/.479 with 18 homers, 48 RBI and a stolen base through his first 83 ballgames. Rotoworld Sunday, 5:08 pm

    • Fantastic against Twins
Snell allowed one hit and struck out eight without walking a batter over seven scoreless innings in a no-decision versus the Twins on Sunday.

Advice: Snell carried a perfect game into the seventh inning, and he faced the minimum in his start by erasing the one hit he gave up with a double play. The left-hander was denied the win after Camilo Doval blew a save opportunity, but the Giants bounced back for the team victory. Snell has allowed two hits and three walks over 12 innings since returning from a groin injury, finally showing his skills after an injury-riddled start to 2024. He has a 6.31 ERA, 1.43 WHIP and 42:17 K:BB through 35.2 innings over eight starts, but he should be considered a buy-low target in fantasy. Rotowire.com Sunday, 4:44 pm
    • Mitch Keller unexpectedly loses five-inning streak
Mitch Keller lasted just three innings on Sunday against the White Sox. He allowed two earned runs, walked three, and struck out three in a no-decision.

Advice: This was… odd. Keller didn’t look great in this one but also not bad by any means. He was pulled with just 57 pitches and the team has given no indication he was injured either. His command was more erratic than usual and maybe someone on the Pittsburgh bench spotted something and wanted him out of the game. This ended a streak of 49 consecutive starts by Keller where he pitched at least five innings. Rotoworld Sunday, 2:33 pm

    • Struggles continue into break
Rodon did not factor into the decision Sunday, allowing two runs on four hits and three walks over four innings against the Orioles. He struck out seven.

Advice: Rodon labored through his outing Sunday, needing 98 pitches to complete four innings and allowing only two runs but tossing four or more pitches to 17 of the 19 batters he faced. Rodon's no-decision was the first time in 15 starts he did not factor into the decision and broke a string of five straight defeats after winning eight of his previous nine during that stretch. The All-Star break will provide a much-needed respite for Rodon, who has an ERA of 9.66 with a 1.96 WHIP and 38 strikeouts over his last six starts spanning 27 innings. Rotowire.com Sunday, 12:46 pm
