      The White Sox will go with a bullpen day Thursday and push Drew Thorpe’s start back to Friday.

      Advice: It’s good news for those rostering Thorpe, as he’ll now face the Rockies instead of the Braves. The downside is that it means he probably will miss out on a road start in Miami next week.       Devers went 2-for-4 with a double, a solo home run and a second run scored in Tuesday's 9-4 loss to the Blue Jays.

      Advice: He took Kevin Gausman deep in the second inning and nearly did it again in the sixth, but his blast to the deepest part of the center field triangle at Fenway Park ended up being a double due to fan interference.       Springer went 3-for-5 with a two-run home run in Tuesday's 9-4 win over the Red Sox.

      Advice: The 34-year-old outfielder capped a seven-run eruption for the Blue Jays in the third inning when he drove a Brayan Bello slider into the right-center field bullpen at Fenway Park. Springer is having the worst season of his career by a wide margin -- Tuesday's long ball snapped a 17-game homer drought, and it highlighted his first multi-hit performance since June 3.       Advice: Lowe has started to heat up at the plate, as he's gone 11-for-30 with three homers, seven RBI and six runs scored across his last eight games. He's also displayed a penchant for steals, swiping three bags across his last three starts.       Advice: Diaz led off the bottom of the first inning with a solo home run, continuing his excellent run of recent production. He has gone deep three times in his last six starts and also has at least one RBI in seven straight games. Diaz also extended his hitting streak to 18 games, during which he's hit .358.       Ryan allowed four runs on six hits and struck out five without walking a batter over six innings in a no-decision versus the Diamondbacks on Tuesday.

      Advice: Ryan's run of three straight quality starts came to a close, as Arizona got to him early Tuesday. All four runs on his line were surrendered over the first two innings, though he was able to settle down and exit at 86 pitches (58 strikes). This was the fourth time in 2024 that Ryan avoided walking a batter. He's now at a 3.31 ERA, 0.96 WHIP and 100:15 K:BB over 98 innings through 16 starts.     • Joe Ryan can’t overcome bad start versus D-backs
      Joe Ryan yielded four runs in six innings Tuesday in a no-decision against the Diamondbacks.

      Skubal (9-3) tossed seven scoreless innings to earn the win Tuesday against the Phillies. He allowed three hits and a walk while striking out seven.

      Advice: Skubal came into Tuesday in a bit of a slump, as he had allowed nine runs (eight earned) across 10.1 total innings in his previous two starts, which were both losses. The lefty got back on track in a big way, however, with a dominant performance against a tough Philadelphia lineup. It was the sixth time this season that Skubal didn't allow any runs in an outing, which is a big reason why he's sitting with a 2.32 ERA, good for fourth in the majors. Detroit's ace is having an outstanding year, and he'll look to keep rolling in his next scheduled appearance, which is tentatively set for next Tuesday against the Twins.     • George Springer finds power stroke in win
      George Springer went 3-for-5 with a two-run home run in a 9-4 win over the Red Sox on Tuesday.

      Advice: It was Springer’s sixth home run of the season and first since June 4th. Springer only has three home runs since April 24th, so we’re not looking at a power surge here. It’s also Springer’s first multi-hit game since June 3rd. It’s certainly nice to see, but the 34-year-old is still just 13-for-78 (.167) in June so we’ll need to see a few more games like this before we believe he’s figuring things out.
