    • Camilo Doval gives up two runs, takes blown save
Camilo Doval gave up two runs while getting just one out in the ninth to take his fourth blown save Sunday against the Twins.

Advice: Doval has been shaky throughout, though he did come into this one having allowed just one run in his previous nine innings. Today, he faced four batters and retired only one of them, allowing one walk and then a pair of doubles. The rough showing leaves him 17-for-21 in save opportunities and with a 4.38 ERA. His closer’s role has to be in some jeopardy, given that the Giants have plenty of solid alternatives. He certainly can’t afford to blow another save chance right away after the break. • Jhoan Duran takes loss on error in ninth
Jhoan Duran took a loss after giving up a triple to the only batter he faced Sunday against the ninth.

Advice: Opening the bottom of the ninth in a tie game, Duran gave up a well-placed 88.8 mph flyball to the right-center gap. Mike Yastrzemski tried stretching the hit into a triple, and relay man Brooks Lee threw the ball into the dugout to end the game. The run was unearned, of course. Rotoworld 52 minutes ago

    • James Outman goes 0-for-2, gets pulled
James Outman went 0-for-2 with a strikeout before being pulled for a pinch-hitter Sunday against the Tigers.

Advice: Outman went 3-for-5 in his first two games back in the majors, but he’s 0-for-8 with seven strikeouts since. Jason Heyward could rejoin the Dodgers on Friday, and Outman hasn’t made much of a case for sticking around. Rotoworld Today, 4:53 pm

    • Blows save Sunday
Doval allowed two runs on two hits and a walk while striking out one over one-third of an inning, taking a blown save in Sunday's 3-2 win over the Twins.

Advice: Doval's poor performance didn't stop the Giants from winning, but it made things a bit hairy in the ninth inning. The closer had gone five scoreless innings since his last blown save June 28, though he continues to put too many batters on base. For the season, Doval has a 4.38 ERA, 1.62 WHIP and 49:24 K:BB over 37 innings while going 17-for-21 in save chances. If manager Bob Melvin changes his approach to the closer job, Doval could lose some of his save share to Ryan Walker or Tyler Rogers. Rotowire.com Today, 4:47 pm
    • Mullins walks it off as O’s hold on to 1st place
Cedric Mullins delivered a go-ahead two-run double in the bottom of the ninth as the Orioles shocked the Yankees with a 6-5 victory.

Advice: It will down as a double, but it certainly could have been ruled an error. Left fielder Alex Verdugo had a legitimate chance to catch the fly ball, but he stumbled and the ball went over his head. Either way, the Orioles will take it with their recent issues with runners in scoring position. After avoiding the sweep, the Orioles will go into the All-Star break with a one-game lead over the Yankees in the AL East. Rotoworld Today, 12:22 pm

    • Begins fielding grounders
Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said Sunday that Betts (hand) has started to fielding softly-hit groundballs, Jack Harris of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Advice: Though Betts hasn't yet been cleared for full baseball activities, taking part in fielding work is an indication that he hasn't experienced any setbacks in his recovery from a fractured left hand. The All-Star was given an estimated 6-to-8-week timeline for a return after sustaining the injury in mid-June, and though he still has a ways to go in his rehab, Betts could be ready to come off the 10-day injured list in early August. Betts has seen the majority of his starts at shortstop this season, though the Dodgers could look to deploy him mainly at second base upon his return. Miguel Rojas has excelled as Betts' primary replacement at shortstop and could be deserving of a full-time role upon Betts' return, while second baseman Gavin Lux entered Sunday's game against the Tigers sporting a lowly .565 OPS on the season. • Betts (hand) begins taking groundballs
Mookie Betts (hand) has begun taking “soft” groundballs, according to Dodgers manager Dave Roberts.

Advice: Betts had only been doing “shadow work” until now, but this is a small step in the right direction. The former MVP broke his left hand on a hit-by-pitch about a month ago, but didn’t require surgery and will progress as his comfort allows. The exact timeline isn’t yet clear, but the Dodgers expect him to be a contributor at some point in the second half. Rotoworld Today, 9:05 am

    • Mendoza: No timetable for Marte (knee) return
Mets manager Carlos Mendoza told reporters that recovery on the bone bruise in Starling Marte’s right knee has been “slow.”

Advice: Mendoza noted that Marte has been receiving daily treatment, but isn’t on the precipice of starting baseball activities. The outfielder was expected to miss at least four weeks with the contusion, but there’s a very good chance that Marte doesn’t return to the Mets until sometime in August. Rotoworld Today, 8:32 am

    • Heading to bench Sunday
Mullins is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Yankees.

Advice: The lefty-hitting Mullins hit the bench for Saturday's 6-1 loss while right-hander Luis Gil took the hill for the Yankees, and Mullins will remain out of the lineup for the series finale with a southpaw (Carlos Rodon) taking the hill for the opposition. Colton Cowser will cover center field and bat ninth in Mullins' place. Rotowire.com Today, 7:14 am
