    • Notches third straight victory
Gallen (9-5) earned the win over Washington on Wednesday, allowing one run on six hits and one walk while striking out six batters over six innings.

Advice: Gallen gave up a run in the fourth inning but otherwise silenced the Nationals for his second straight quality start and third straight victory. Since giving up a season-high seven runs (six earned) over 3.2 frames against Toronto on July 14, Gallen has surrendered just four runs over his subsequent 17 innings. Despite that solid span, the right-hander's control had been shaky coming into Wednesday, as he had issued nine free passes across his previous two outings. However, he may have settled those concerns against Washington by issuing just one walk in the win. Rotowire.com 7 minutes ago

    • Collects three hits in victory
Pham went 3-for-4 with a double, two runs and two RBI in Wednesday's 10-1 rout of the Rangers.

Advice: Pham returned to St. Louis -- where his professional career began -- via a trade with the White Sox on Monday and swatted a grand slam in his 2024 debut with the club Tuesday. The veteran outfielder continued to produce in his first start since the trade Wednesday, plating a two-run double in the fifth frame as part of a three-hit performance. Pham has hit safely in five straight contests and is batting .474 (9-for-19) with a homer and seven RBI during that span. Rotowire.com 19 minutes ago

    • Logan Webb twirls complete game shutout
Logan Webb threw a complete game shutout with six strikeouts in a 1-0 victory over the Athletics on Wednesday. He allowed just five hits and one walk.

Advice: Talk about a vintage baseball game: Webb led the Giants to a win in just one hour and 55 minutes with one total run and nine strikeouts between both teams. He’d been stuck in an ice cold stretch with a 6.65 ERA to this point in July, but righted the ship in a big way. He went back to his trusted changeup and threw it more often than any start this season dating back to April 7th. Rotoworld 19 minutes ago

    • Hit hard Wednesday
Lodolo (8-4) allowed eight runs on 11 hits and struck out six over 5.2 innings without walking a batter to take the loss versus the Cubs on Wednesday.

Advice: Lodolo had allowed a total of eight runs across his previous three starts spanning 17.2 innings. The Cubs got to him early with multiple runs in the second and third frames, and Ian Happ's two-run homer in the sixth ended Lodolo's outing. The southpaw's ERA spiked up from 3.45 to 3.99, and he now has a 1.15 WHIP and 100:26 K:BB across 97 innings over 17 starts. Lodolo will look to bounce back in his next start, which is projected to be at Miami next week. Rotowire.com Today, 8:04 pm

    • Collects first hits with new team
Paredes went 2-for-4 with two doubles and three runs scored in Wednesday's 13-4 win over the Reds.

Advice: After going 0-for-4 in his Chicago debut Tuesday, Paredes got things going Wednesday. The former Cubs' prospect batted second, in between Ian Happ and Seiya Suzuki. It's a good spot for sustained production, and after recording a career-best 31 home runs and 98 RBI a season ago, Paredes could be in line for a strong finish to the year with his new team. • Isaac Paredes scores three times in win Wednesday
Isaac Paredes went 2-for-4 with a pair of doubles and three runs scored on Wednesday evening as the Cubs demolished the Reds in Cincinnati.

Advice: Paredes — who was hitting out of the second spot in the Cubs lineup — was hit by a pitch in the third inning and scored on a two-run double off the bat of Seiya Suzuki. He then doubled in the sixth inning and once again was driven in by a Suzuki double. Paredes also doubled in the eighth inning and scored on a two-run single by Cody Bellinger. On the season, the 25-year-old slugger is now slashing .245/.356/.437 with 16 homers and 55 RBI. Rotoworld Today, 7:01 pm

    • Nick Lodolo blasted for eight runs in loss to Cubs
Nick Lodolo was clobbered in Wednesday’s loss to the Cubs, surrendering eight runs on 11 hits over his 5 2/3 innings of work.

Advice: On the plus side for fantasy managers, Lodolo managed to punch out six batters in the ballgame and didn’t allow a base on balls. The Cubs jumped on him early in this one, scratching out a pair of runs in the second inning and adding four more in the third on two-run doubles by Seiya Suzuki and Patrick Wisdom. Lodolo then settled in for a bit before serving up a two-run homer to Ian Happ before exiting in the sixth. He got 12 swings and misses on 103 pitches on the night, posting a CSW of 28 percent. He’ll look to bounce back as he carries a 3.99 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and a 100/26 K/BB ratio (97 innings) into Tuesday’s matchup against the Marlins in Miami. Rotoworld Today, 7:01 pm

    • Walker Buehler set for rehab start on Thursday
Walker Buehler (hip) will make another minor league rehab start at Triple-A El Paso on Thursday.

Advice: The 30-year-old right-hander still struggled in his first start back after working out independently to refine his mechanics, giving up four runs on eight hits and two walks over four innings on Friday. The Dodgers probably want to see him have some sort of success at the Triple-A level before they give him another shot to pitch out of their big-league rotation. Rotoworld Today, 5:56 pm

    • Brayan Bello strikes out seven against Mariners
Brayan Bello allowed two runs with seven strikeouts over 6 1/3 innings in a no-decision against the Mariners on Wednesday.

Advice: Bello scattered a pair of hits over three scoreless innings before Seattle brought a run in to score on a double and a single in the fourth. Josh Rojas took him deep for a solo homer in the fifth. Bello would pitch into the seventh, leaving with one out and two runners on. Both inherited runners would be left stranded by Lucas Sims. Bello struck out seven on the day. The 25-year-old right-hander will take a 5.13 ERA, 1.44 WHIP, and a 103/38 K/BB ratio across 107 innings into a start against the Royals in Kansas City on Tuesday.
