      Imanaga allowed three runs on five hits across six innings but did not factor into the decision in Thursday's 5-3, 10-inning win over the Giants. He walked two and struck out three.

      Advice: This was a nice bounceback effort for Imanaga, who allowed 10 runs in his last outing against the surging Mets. The righty had a sparkling 1.89 ERA before that implosion, but he's still sitting with a solid 3.07 mark across his first 15 starts at the MLB level. While it was unlikely that Imanaga would continue his early-season dominance, he should still be a strong fantasy option moving forward.       Trea Turner went 2-for-4 with three runs scored on Thursday in the Phillies’ loss to the Marlins.

      Advice: Turner also drew a walk in this one, reaching base safely in three of his five plate appearances. The 30-year-old shortstop is batting .300 (12-for-40) with one homer and zero steals since returning from the injured list back on June 17. Rotoworld Today, 6:27 pm
       
    • Gray hammered again for eight runs Thursday
      Jon Gray allowed eight runs in five innings and took the loss against the Orioles on Thursday.



      Advice: Gray gave up nine hits, walked one and struck out one. It’s the second time in his last three starts that Gray has allowed at least eight earned runs. In that time his ERA has increased from 2.17 to 3.77. The 32-year-old right-hander is set to face the Padres at home next week.

      Shota Imanaga allowed three runs in six innings of work in a no-decision against the Giants on Thursday.

      Advice: Imanaga allowed five hits while walking two and fanning three. It’s a marked improvement over his struggled against the Mets on Friday where he allowed 10 runs on 3 1/3 innings, but far from the excellence that we saw from the southpaw earlier in the year. It’s worth noting he threw five scoreless in this one, however, before a three-spot came across in the sixth. He still picks up a quality start while possessing a strong — if climbing — 3.07 ERA.       Ketel Marte homered and doubled in a blowout loss Thursday to the Twins.

      Advice: Marte now has 17 homers on the season to go with 17 doubles. It’s been a fantastic season for the 30-year-old even in a shaky — to put it nicely — season for the Diamondbacks with those numbers along with 47 RBI and an .863 OPS. Rotoworld Today, 4:45 pm

      Nolan Gorman is not in the Cardinals’ starting lineup on Thursday.

      Advice: With the Cardinals facing a lefty, Gorman will head to the bench and the team will turn to Jose Fermin at second base. Gorman has been a good source of power this season with 16 home runs, but he’s also hitting .191 on the season with a 36 percent strikeout rate and has been worse in June with a .148 average and 38 percent strikeout rate in 24 games. However, he also has four steals in June, which has saved his fantasy value a bit, but he’s hard to roster in batting average leagues if you have ample power because of the drain he puts on your team with his average.       Cubs placed RHP Javier Assad on the 15-day injured list with a right forearm strain.

      Advice: Assad struggled on Sunday in a loss to the Mets and also failed to record a single strikeout. Now we might know why. The Cubs haven’t issued a timeline for Assad’s injury, but forearm strains can often be a precursor to bigger injuries, so the team is liable to be careful with the right-hander.       The Cubs placed Assad on the 15-day injured list Thursday with a right forearm extensor strain, Maddie Lee of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

      Advice: The injury has evidently been an issue for Assad off and on for about two weeks, per Meghan Montemurro of the Chicago Tribune, which could help explain why he's stumbled in June with a 5.49 ERA after entering the month with a 2.27 mark.
